Try Tinto Fino, it is a spanish wine only store on 1st and 5th street I think.. some hard to find bottles for a interesting and unique gift!

I found Vino on 27th st between park and lex, it has a well curated wine selection. Buy rite is excellent for the selection but not as nice ambiance. You can find more stores on qwikerliquor.com it has lot of information on stores in Murray Hill and NYC in general. They have a free wine and spirit tasting schedule that is great!
