The taverns are a nice colonial experience. C W 2-3times a year for 25 years we have seen the quality deteoriate. You are definately paying for the experience and not the food. Everybody should probably experience a tavern once, In addition, according to C W staff none of the menu items are authentic. All are modern dishes made to look and sound colonial. Just outsied C W is the second street grill---excellent meals
