I need a nice place to take my grandparents for dinner on a Saturday night.

To get an idea of what I am looking for, in the past we have been to and enjoyed Marea, Perry St. and Lure (a little too noisy for them, but loved the food).

We are very plain eaters- It doesn't have to be a "big name" restaurant- would love some fancy little gems as well.

if anyone can recommend something in Manhattan (Midtown to above Canal St.) that would be much appreciated!

I went to a birthday dinner at MPD last night. At a certain point everyone started getting up on their tables and dancing.

I am looking for restaurants in NYC that are similar to ABC Kitchen- not exactly the "hip" factor, but the freshness. Even places that have creative dishes. Is there anything in the city that you think measures up?

A group of ten girls in their mid 20's are looking for a restaurant to celebrate a friends birthday somewhere below 14th street.

We are more concerned about inexpensive drinks than food, and want somewhere with a fun atmosphere.
Ideally a bottle of wine (don't care about the quality), would be below $25.

China Grill is amazing.

I've seen China Grill has a great menu for xmas eve and xmas day.

I actually really like Asia de Cuba. The one in NYC just closed! So upset.

Mandalay Bay has some great restaurants. I really enjoy China Grill and Red Square.

Bar Basque in Chelsea seems to have a great Christmas Eve special.
