Where do you buy ground coffee in Manhattan to brew at home?

I love Unique coffee on Staten Island. They have a web site (do a Google search) their prices are great and they sell either ground or beans. My wife and I love their vanilla nut. Also the package the coffee for Garden of Eden or similar store but it is less expensive here

Good thought, would have liked Chinatown but my friends didn't like the idea. Any place you like in Tribeca that aren't outrageously priced? Steve

Upper Eastside brunch/lunch

Actually had dinner at Maya last week. Food was not as good as it used to be and the service was awful, felt like they forgot our order. I used to be a real fan. thanks for your recommendation though.

Weekend Lunch in upper Westside (70's)

We did go to Nice Matin and we liked it. Thought the food was good, not great and prices a little high and some portions were small but everyone seemed to like sitting outside and watching the street fair taking place

Best Indian Food in the City...

We had our usual two or three dishes. A chicken dumphuk (excuse my spelling) an eggplant dish and a lamb dish cooked dry. They were all very good but we only had four pieces of chicken in the first dish, six tablespoons of eggplant and three pieces of lamb. When I go to Mitali up the block the amount I have gotten was twice as large (and almost as good). The maitre'd said that the regular chef was out and the back back up chef may have not known better. We were all annoyed.

Best Indian Food in the City...

We ate at Banjara in the East Village last night. The food was very good and the decor was actually nice. Unfortunately the portions were tiny. The maitre d had some feeble excuse, but if the portion you get is small you should complain. Beside the food being very good the prices have stayed the same since I was last there a year ago.

SE Asian - Thai or Vietnamese - on the west side

Wondee Thai is in the 50's and is wonderful!! There is one that is tiny and doesn't take credit cards and one a block away that does take credit cards. Make a reaervation to be on the safe side. The Pad Thai is great as well as a "Special Squid" dish that I get that I have not seen any place else.

Chinatown recommendations

We wound up at 456 at 69 Mott Street, which was good to very good, but not great. I also thought it was expensive (relative to Chinatown). I still think that Nice Green Bo is better but the ambiance is not there.
