Fun Group Dinner In/Around Stroudsburg

I will be with a group of 8 women, mostly early 30's, for a weekend in Stroudsburg in August. We are looking for somewhere to eat out Saturday night that has good drinks, good food and a fun environment if possible. Don't worry about price for now and we are not picky eaters. Anywhere to go out after is also welcomed. Would be willing to drive up to around 1/2 hour to get there too

Gift Certificate

I was recently asked if there is any place that I am dying to try as a wedding gift for me and my (now) husband. I always blank when the pressure is on. I was thinking Bondir, Salts, TW Food. I have been to Craigie and loved that too. I also have no idea how much this person wants to spend and don't want to suggest someplace that is outlandish. Any other suggestions? I am not a big meat eater, but adventurous besides that. Anywhere in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville area preferably.
Thanks

Apples followed by lobster-in-the-rough, N. Shore to Portsmouth

For lobster dinner go to Chauncy Creek in Kittery Point, Maine (just over the boarder from NH). You sit on the water, an inlet, and eat at picnic tables. You bring your own sides, alcohol and dessert and they supply all the lobster, clams, mussles, etc. you could want. It is a relaxing atmosphere and the lobsters are always cooked well. They have tent sides there too if it gets cold.

Suggestions for a pair who love Ouest?

Thank you for all of your suggestions! I am looking into all of these. La Silhoutte was further uptown, but the rest were more downtown. I know i didn't specify before, but any suggestions further uptown?

Suggestions for a pair who love Ouest?

I am giving a gift certifcate to a cousin and his partner as a thank you. They live on the upper west side and really like Ouest. I could get them a certificate there, but I am also interested in opinions on what else they might like if they like Ouest?
Price for dinner up to $300.
Thanks!

Close to the Highway

Sorry, I meant 93/95

Close to the Highway

Looking for good, casual place to meet some friends for dinner. It needs to be close to the highway, between boston and peabody. Thanks

Cambridge Culinary Sushi Making Class

My fiance and I took the course there a few months ago and both really loved it! You get hands-on experience and everybody works on something different so you get to enjoy a lot of food and learn how to make all sorts of rolls. They even give you a little wine to enjoy. you also get a list of recipes to take home so you can practice after

Caterers and Cake Makers near Portsmouth, NH

thanks so much! i love cake and don't want to have to pick just one!

Saturday Brunch in Portsmouth

Looking for some options for brunch on Saturday October 2nd in downtown Portsmouth. We will be a group of 4-8 and would like some options with waiter service. I have been to the Friendly Toast and I like that. I also see that the Chef's Table has a Saturday brunch buffet. Has anyone been to it, is it any good? Thanks for your help

Caterers and Cake Makers near Portsmouth, NH

Hi! I am getting married next fall and i am looking for
1. Wedding Caterer
2. Brunch Caterer
3. Cake Maker

To that end, I would love to find someone local and also someone who can be flexible with their menu so that we can guide the food selection. As for the cake, the taste matters much more than the artistry and i am thinking of doing several cakes rather than one big one. The brunch is going to be simple too.
Thanks!

Great Salad Bar

I live around Central Square and work in the South End (just over the bridge from the Back Bay stop) and I can't seem to find a really good salad bar or place where they make salads to order. Does anyone have a good suggestion?

Portsmouth NH for Dinner

For more upscale dining I like Brazo, The Green Monkey or Black Trumpet
More casual there's the River House (on the water near Poco's) i always think the portsmouth brewing co has good food
A little over the bridge in Kittery Point is Chauncy creek lobster pound, which is a truly great experience (bring your own alcohol and sides)
Also just over the bridge is anneke jans- upscale and delicious

By the way my parents used to stay in portsmouth around visiting day and now they live there

What does the general admission ticket buy you? Do you pay separately for food and drink once inside or is that covered in the price of admission?

Thinking of Koi; looking for your thoughts

Thanks! What about Chow Bar? The menu there looks interesting. Thanks for the EN rec as well. Are there other fusion places anyone would recommend besides budakkan or megu?

Thinking of Koi; looking for your thoughts

I am thinking of going to Koi with a party of 8 for a law school graduation dinner. Is there some place better to go or is this a good choice? I am looking for Asian (not just sushi though) and celebratory place. If you like koi, what do you like there?

Hell's Kitchen Celebratory Lunch

I need a rec for a graduation lunch in hell's kitchen for 5-10 people. I want really good food and the food cost can be around $35-40 pp, although less expensive is always good too. I don't need anything too fancy either.
Thanks

new in town needing north station area rec

I need a recommendation for dinner friday with my parents and good friend. Quality of the food is most important and nothing too sceney or too noisy. My friend needs something near north station or not far on the green line and my parents need to be able to park.
Any suggestions?

Farewell for now

I am graduating from law school and moving to Boston for a little while so I am looking for a restaurant to celebrate at next friday for about 10-12 people. I want it to be relaxed, cheap and group-eating oriented. I had thought of congee village or grand szechuan, but thought maybe the latter lacked atmosphere even though I love the food

A Hound Comes To Hampton Beach and Portsmouth

Friendly toast definitely a good place for breakfast
The Beach Plum at North Hampton Beach has great lobster rolls and lots of other seafood snacks and a huge list of ice cream
Portsmouth Brewery, downtown, has some pretty good pub food and old ferry landing, on the water is good for seafood
Jumpin Jay's is a little more upscale, but they have fresh fish and you can pair the fish you want with a list of different marinades
the ice box in new castle is a pretty good seafood shack as well

cake for bachelorette

i am looking for a cake for a bachelorette cake next weekend and it seems that masturbakers has closed. Any other suggestions?

Fort Greene dinner

I am looking for a good dinner in the neighborhood next Friday and I am trying to decide between General Greene, Olea and Kif. I have been to the former two before (not in a while tho), but never Kif. What are some opinions? Also, if someone has an even better suggestion, I am open to that as well.
Thanks!
