Hi All, I've just moved to the Chicago Area (Evanston specifically) from the San Francisco Bay Area. In California, I usually purchased Straus Family milk (grass-fed, low-heat pasteurized, non-homogenized,) but switched to raw milk a couple of months before I moved, due to, in my opinion, superior taste and nutrition. There were two brands of raw milk available to me in grocery stores there. Since relocating, I've tried Trader's Point Creamery, Kalona "Supernatural," Kilgus Farmstead, and Castle Rock Farm, and come to the conclusion that Trader's Point is closest to the taste of the raw Jersey milk I was buying before, but really expensive. I read on realmilk.com that raw milk in the state of Illinois can only legally be purchased on-location at a farm, and was wondering if anyone has found a way to obtain it that is a bit easier. Thanks so much!
