WEIGHT WATCHER FOODIES - WHAT ARE YOU COOKING? PART 6
well, my sauce is pretty pizzazz-y. and i used crushed red pepper flakes and seasoned well. i thought it was good. i don't see why you couldn't use brown rice. WW has a brown rice "mexican" casserole that is vegetarian. i can see if i can find it you'd like.

I made this sicilian rice ball casserole last night: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011_02_24_archive.html
delicious and the non-WW husband likes it a lot, too. the portions are gigantic.
i have 10 ounces of leftover ground turkey. might turn that into a small crock of turkey chili.
Looking for really good cheese souffle or cheese/spinach souffle recipe
julia has a good one. so goes alton. which is basically julia's with some cream of tartar for insurance.
Dip Challenge
fondue for a main. i've had success in crock pots. or shabu shabu?
if i could i'd eat all of my food in dip and dumpling form.
or you could make french dip sandwiches.
WEIGHT WATCHER FOODIES - WHAT ARE YOU COOKING? PART 6
ny style pizza with no toppings is around 7 points. i've even weighed it on my scale.
WEIGHT WATCHER FOODIES - WHAT ARE YOU COOKING? PART 6
it's a ww cookbook. they have the points from the previous plan, but with the nutritional info you can recalculate them to pointsplus. they have some good indian dishes, too.
Gluten Free-Yeast free-Egg free Bread
i actually got a mix for easter called simply elizabeth. gluten free and vegan. and it's a quick bread, i believe, so no yeast.
Sausage making
i would love more details! a paraphrased recipe, perhaps? i have the grinder, but only ever used it for grinding meat into hash and for ravioli filling.
WEIGHT WATCHER FOODIES - WHAT ARE YOU COOKING? PART 6
I made the general tso chicken from takeout tonight, which bears no resemblance to general tso's chicken. but was spicy and delicious. and i added jalapeno and broccoli. i also made a crock full of turkey chili with some chicken sausage removed from their casing and thrown in. both are about 5pp per cup.

i've been on maintenance since 2/15/2011. i still pay every month. it worked to get me here (45 lbs lost), so it will work to keep me here. i track still.
ISO Chocolate sauce recipe
David liebovitz from the perfect scoop has a couple of great ones. one that tastes just like the sauce they pour over profiteroles at a brasserie here... i can dig it up if you'd like.
Jarred Spaghetti Sauce
exactly....doctoring jarred, imho, is a waste of time and money. i don't use jarred. never have. saute garlic and onion with s&p and crushed red pepper flaks. add some crushed or whole peeled canned tomato. simmer. you can make it in the time it takes to boil the pasta.
i, too, am not trying to be snarky....
creme brulee recipes, please?
oh! so you don't use beans in your creme brulee? how would you sub for beans in the ab recipe? tia!
creme brulee recipes, please?
I have made lemon meringue cupcakes without the torch. looking forward to trying with. usually wait until i have a ton of lemons.... except i do vanilla cake, and then i pipe the curd in from the top. never thought to throw sugar on the meringue... must try next time! thanks....
and thanks so much for the vanilla suggestions...
creme brulee recipes, please?
stupid question. are there vanilla creme brulee recipes that don't use vanilla beans? or is that just dreadful? I've had much luck replacing the beans in most recipes (especially ice cream recipes) with extract....
creme brulee recipes, please?
I have been living like a savage until yesterday....when i got a kitchen torch. the difference in my s'mores cupcakes is pretty noticeable. and it's far less nerve wracking (and dangerous) than running them under the broiler. the flavor is better, too. more like toasted marshmallow.
the cupcakes have a graham cracker crust (i sprinkled a few mini chocolate chips on the crust after they came out of the oven) and are filled with the 7 minute icing that is toasted on top.
the torched ones are the ones on the left....
anyone have a tried and true classic creme brulee recipe?
meringues out of 7 minute frosting?
They turned out ok.... yes, there was water in the icing recipe. but they dried out just fine! there was also a lot more sugar than in traditional meringues. so they caramelized a bit and turned slightly tan. which was fine.... husband says they taste like toasted marshmallow. if i have leftover 7 minute frosting, i'd most definitely do it again.
