Our favs are definitely Holly Hill Inn in Midway and their satellites--Wallace Station on Old Frankfort Pike in Midway and Windy Corners over toward Paris. Holly Hill is white tablecloth, other two are much more informal sandwich. Windy Corners makes the best oyster po'boy!

Try Elmwood Stock Farm. They're certified organic and carry chickens, eggs and turkeys--both heritage breeds and more modern types, as well as pastured beef and organic vegetables. http://www.elmwoodstockfarm.com. They sell at the Lex Farmers Market so you could probably order ahead and pick it upat the market. They are great people.
