For soy products Tofurkey from turtle island has the best veggie sausages i ever tasted all GMO free and organic soy beans also gardein makes good verity of GMO free soy products as well but never tried them but their website shows a large verity of foods and look good (note that gardein uses non GMO soy products other ingredients may contain GMO's). Both these brands can be bought at Marche Tau there are several stores check their website for the nearest one to you. For just Tofu same go in the organic section of loblaws/Maxie or health food stores like Tau and read if its organic its GMO free sometimes it will say GMO free anyway.****Regardless don't consume to much soy un-fermeted soy can be potentially harmful while fermented soy is good for you like Tempeh, natto, miso ect.. |

Anyone been to some good vegetarian restaurants whether it be in montreal or Laval doesn't matter. I'd prefer a higher class restaurant. Ive been to one on st martin Laval i believ ist called le comensal it was good but it was kinda buffet style and works well for lunch instead. So any suggestions would be great thanks. |

Piatti its in Rosemere a bit further but no doubt the best pizza ive tried at a restaurant im Italian and we make homemade wood oven pizza it tastes just like homemade pizza its absolutely amazing. Everything else is good there too but go on weekdays on weekends its jam packed and the service is slower but for pizza its still quick. Its also a very nice restaurant |

Cross contaminated gluten free products? [moved from Quebec (inc. Montreal) board] I know that products such as oat, buckwheat, millet ect... Are gluten free but can be cross contaminated with gluten products therefore having gluten but is it still a much less consecration. I do not have celiac but i want to be more gluten free, sometimes i find products like buckwheat but it doesn't say gluten free and sometimes it does. So can it be that its cross contaminated and contains gluten but is it a lot or jut has traces like when certain products say may contain nuts. |
