My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Veal and sausage ragu over polenta with a roasted garlic cauliflower contorno (if it is for a dinner party), but usually I entertain on a larger scale, so the same sort of thing makes a heck of a casserole with the simple addition of some cheese.
My favorite comfort food:
Tacos and tortas- no skimping on the chiles, either!
My most tattered cookbooks:
Madhur Jaffrey's Indian Cooking- it was my first Indian Cookbook but it just works at all levels and remains as useful as it was on day 1.
