it is a pan with half in ribbing on the bottom.Bit I didn't use it .I ended up using a closed and then uncovered crock at 425. Steak came out great !

Yes ,thank you it would be a top of the stove thing .It is a typical fry pan.It just has a ribbed bottom. The pan is great for hamburgers and sausage but I have never done steak.

I have a heavy duty ribbed fry pan ,since my outdoor cooker bit the dust I wan to fry 21/2" steak.
I need help WITH temperature ,time,etc.

I have heavy duty ribbed frying pan.I want to fry 2-3" thick rib eye.Outdoor cooker jsut bit the dust.

Slow Cooker Outdoors

My wife does not like the smell of my slow cooker in the house so this morning I placed my cooker outdoors , plugging it in to an out door socket.Is there a problem with doing this? It is currently 52 degrees in this part of Oregon.
