Tapas in Westchester

Where is Forty Four Tapas in Croton, I would like to try it (I know Croton pretty well but hadn't heard of it). I was at Peniche once in White Plains, and I liked it, that was my first Tapas experience -- I loved the decor inside as well.

An American Idol In Scarsdale,

There's Peniche in White Plains--that would appeal to a young "hip" person I think, but only if you like small plates. I do also like BLT Steak, I feel you can't go wrong there. There's 42, but someone gave it a really negative review in an earlier post, but if you called ahead, you would probably get the "star" treatment if that's what you are looking for, so it's still a good option, the view would definitely impress. If you just want to stay in Scarsdale, I can't help you out!

Mimi's in Irvington anyone?

I went to Mina's about a month ago, and loved it! It's very cute inside, I liked the wine by the glass (or cortino) as well! Ans, I had a delicious fish special--it was very lemony, our server was great, would definitely go back soon.

Worst restaurants in Westchester

Several people mentioned the Chart House -- well the one in Dobbs Ferry is now a new restaurant called the Half Moon and owned by the people who own Harvest on the Hudson. It just reopened, so I'm sure people will write about it. The veiw is still magnificent though!

Off site caterer in Westchester?

Hi, I do a lot of event planning, and when we have done Stamford events we have used Aux Delices, so I agree they are good (so is Mary Beth's Kitchen), but primarily we use Tastefully Yours in Briarcliff Manor--we've been working with them for years and they are very good at the type of cocktail event you describe and have some regular bartenders they always use, etc,

Regarding Susan's -- I think it is a different restaurant now, I'm pretty sure I saw an ad or something somwhere touting a place on Division street that was formerly known as Susan's....

Henry's on the Hudson - Peekskill?

where is it--is it the one by the Peekskill Inn up on the hill? I went there last summer, it is ok for a family dinner, nothing great, it does have a view though. Monteverde has a gorgeous view too though and is nicer of course more pricey.

Best Romantic Inn Restaurant

So glad to hear Rabbit Hill and Winham Hill Inns both mentioned in these posts....I'm going to both in about two weeks (and to Newport two, at the Francis Malbone House), and I'm glad that I made reservations to eat in the restaurants of both these inns!
