CHOW Bagel

1Tb = 3tsp.

CHOW Bagel

Just made a full batch and they came out great. I used 1 Tablespoon of Kosher Salt and it was perfect. I substituted DME (Diastatic Malt Extract) for the syrup in the dough and it worked out fine. I also used some DME and brown sugar in the boiling water which adds a bit to the crust. I also boiled 1 minute per side which I thought was perfect. I made 6 bagels out of the whole batch at ~150g each and they were the right size as you would expect at a bagel shop. I recently tried a recipe published from Jo Goldenberg's in Paris and found this recipe much better. I also skipped the egg wash and added my toppings after boiling and they stuck just fine. Also make sure you use high gluten or "bread flour" otherwise the hydration is not right.

Easy Hummus

I use a similar recipe and add red onion to mine with the garlic and it gives it a great taste.

Which Flakowitz location?

best breakfast in palm beach county

I like Flakowitz, there is one in East Boca on Glades and Us1 and one in Boynton Beach. Traditional NY Jewish Style breakfast. Good Kinishes.

TOP FOOD TRUCKS IN THE MIA

I went to the Rolling Stove and got sucked in by their "Dr. Pepper Jerk Brisket Sandwich". It was $11 and I was disappointed. Short on meat, heavy on the over-mayo'd slaw which hid the taste of the meat.

Best pasta sauce in a jar?

Some of the answers in this thread repulse me such as Ragu Light? uughhgh. The only jarred sauce I ever tasted that is worth mentioning I purchased at a real Italian supermarket named Laurenzo's in North Miami Beach called "Sclafani" The marinara and Fra Diavlo are to die for. I looked it up and they have a website:
