Reykjavik trip report: 6+ days from hot dogs to chef's menus... Wow-what a post(s)! Thanks much. I'm headed there after spending 2 days in Wash DC. If you had three days, what are your can't miss spots? Dill seems to be pretty pricey-di you speak to anyone who's eaten there? |

Please, please please post your report ASAP. We leave really early Tuesday morning! Thank you. |

Any suggestions for reasonably priced French with a value-priced wine list or corkage? Thanks. |

Is Ben's Chili Bowl worth a visit? You seem to really be on top of things. Any suggestions for Italian food that allows corkage fees instead of, or in the alternative to overpriced wine lists? Thanks. |

1st trip to DC since 1999 . . . where to eat. Where do you suggest for value dining with good wine lists and or reasonable corkage fees? Thanks much. |

Value dining in Dupont Circle/Union Station/Embassy area Thanks! Just found out we're staying at Mariott Metro Center hotel. Any recs for breakfast? I thought Taberna was a bit pricey..... You're spot on-when a place changes hands it can go either way up/down. Any other tapas spots or casual French reasonably close to the hotel? |

Value dining in Dupont Circle/Union Station/Embassy area Thanks hounders. Steve, we'll be using the Metro if that makes any difference. Are you familiar with Dino, Lavandou or Taberna del Alabadero? Thanks much. |

Value dining in Dupont Circle/Union Station/Embassy area Looking for good value dining in the above areas. As we're tourists, new to DC we're looking for great food @ a decent price. Breakfast/lunch & dinner! We both really enjoy Italian, French & Spanish food but we're open for anything except Indian. While ambiance is a plus, the food is what really matters. We're on our own dime, so cost is a factor but not the top variable. Is Jose Andres as good as the press says he is? I'm in the wine business so that's important for dinner. Thanks so very much for your help fellow 'hounders, we really appreciate it. |

Who has the best wine list in Michigan? I agree with putting Mon Jin Lau & the Rowe Inn on the list. MJL has an eclectic moderately priced list that changes frequently. The Rowe is Euro-centric & a tad pricey. I'm not as familiar with the Bluebird, although I've enjoyed some wines from Vinterra, a new winery across the street. As for the Lark & the Earle. The Earle has seen better days-when more attenton was paid to the wines there. The Lark is very forgettable, not only overpriced, many of the wines "on the list" aren't. They're "in reserve" or some other nonsense. Thanks for your post, Markcron. Hey 'hounders-what do YOU think? ----- Mon Jin Lau Restaurant |

Who has the best wine list in Michigan? The list should be a great list for value as much or more than for length or depth of selections. Great wines at good values are what, IMHO, make a great list. I look forward to an interesting discusion. Thanks! |
