The interior of my clay pot was not glazed, they were not very shallow either. I do not think there is any clay pot available in the Indian grocery and even if they are available they are seasoned so that you can cook in it.

I used to cook in clay pots way back about 20 yrs ago in India we had to season the pots and they could be used on stove top, the food cooked in these clay pots used to taste excellent,recently I found one pot in a store and wondered if I could cook in it on stovetop but the lady in the store said that they could not be used on stovetop, but still the memory kept coming back and I started to read on the internet that the food cooked in it really tastes good, only difference is you cannot cook on stove top. I do not know if there are any other clay pots available, what I saw in the store made me think that, that is the only one available.
