Best meal I ever ate:

practically every one of my mom's sunday meals

My current drink of choice:

ice-cold water with twist of lemon or a nice glass of montepulciano d'abruzzo

I really wish I could:

find more restaurants with real quality food, also wish I could eat whatever I want and not gain a pound! (who doesn't?)

My "Go-to" dinner party dish:

lasagna bolognese-the authentic way with bechamel, and fresh pasta OR beef braised in barolo atop turnip "risotto"

My favorite comfort food:

roast chicken dinner

My top 5 favorite restaurants:

that's tough- Il Barilotto in Fishkill, I also used to love Umami, and North St. grill in Fishkill (now closed) Cathryn's Tuscan grill, Cafe Maya for value and consistent quality (Fishkill location)

Trattoria-Patricia Wells, Italian Family cooking, by Ed Giobbi, All the best pizzas, and my vintage Better homes and gardens cookbook for all of the basics!
