It's pretty close, but hers literally have short sleeves. |

For Christmas my mom has asked for new kitchen aprons. However, I'm having a problem finding the kind that she wants. She has (for as long as I can remember) worn an apron that is kind of like a backwards short sleeve shirt (crew neck) that ties in the back at the neck and mid back. I cant seem to find these anywhere - know they are kind of old school. Anyone know where I might be able to find one???? Thanks! |

Unfortunately both my toaster oven and countertop microwave oven have died (there's got to be a third one coming at us...). I was waffling on a convection microwave, but have decided instead to get the Breville convection toaster oven. So now I'm in the market for a great countertop microwave that can do all the basics - warming, thawing etc. Any recommendations? |

Iowa - Regional Food ideas anyone??? We have set 2012 as a year of weekly theme dinners for our family. This year we are doing the fifty states (as my fourth grader is studying the states and since this is the fifth time we've done the states unit... we are trying something different to keep our sanity). As part of our dinners, we have state trivia (capital, flag, birds and other facts), decorations (to the extent we can) and foods that are typical of the area. We've done Hawaii and Alabama so far. Our next state is Iowa - ideas for regional foods anyone? |

Alabama regional food - specialties Better late than never.... Alabama night was wonderful. We had chicken with white bbq sauce (which I actually loved), greens, corn bread and butter beans. Sweet tea to drink, which the girls loved and for dessert I did a lemon chess pie. Great dinner and good trivia. We are now on to Iowa.... um corn recipes anyone? |

Alabama regional food - specialties Biscuits with chocolate gravy! That sounds awesome (gravy is wonderful regardless, but with chocolate..... wow)! We've definitely decided on the chicken with white barbecue sauce, cornbread, greens. I'm adding biscuits with chocolate gravy to the menu! |

Our first state was Hawaii, which was fun but pretty easy. Our next state is Alabama! Any ideas for food that is really specific to the state of Alabama??? We have all of the southern states to do at some point and would love to get some ideas other than frying everything in sight or BBQ! Thanks all! |

Off strip restaurants in Las Vegas near Summerlin Thank you all so much! All of these sound great - wish we had more time to try them all out. It's going to be great to get off the strip! |

Off strip restaurants in Las Vegas near Summerlin We are staying at Red Rocks and interested in getting out and about to off strip restaurants. We'll have a car so traveling around town isn't necessarily a problem. We've always stayed on the strip so this will be our first real Vegas adventure. Love to get recommendations on some upscale, some lunch stops and some great local food (ethnic cheap eats whatever) - really anything that you all love. We are foodies and open to anything. We'll probably do the buffet at RR one time (because weirdly enough I love a good buffet....) but otherwise want to get out and about! Thanks all! |
