Hudson/Marlborough, MA Fish Market Meat Market Farm stand?

Hi! For local meat, try Balance Rock Farm in Berlin (next town over from Hudson). They have their own meat frozen. You're now also only 15 or 20 min from Wegmans, in case you want to splurge on dry-aged prime beef. Their fish dept is great, too. Late spring to fall, vegetables are superb at Small Farm, Indian Head, and Applefield's. (Indian Head also has great strawberries, raspberries, blueberries.) And for a little later in the season, Derby Farm on 117 in Stow has the best peaches and then apples, and then excellent unpasturized cider...

olive oil?

too bad! yes, contact Extra Virgin Foods. My understanding is that they're the ones who bottle the Olympic, and that these 2 new ones are not being bottled/sold retail. Maybe they can tell you where else you can get to try these fresh treats.

olive oil?

I also have really liked Olympic for my everyday olive oil. Everyone should know that they (Extra Virgin Foods) are at the Wayland Winter Farmer's Market on Saturdays, and are selling 2 more oils in addition to the bottled stuff. These two new and fresh oils are phenomenal and worth the ride and the $$ (you pay for the bottle, then it's refillable next time...) I prefer the organic one, and the other was excellent with a bit of a pepper bite - I was told that this would age in the bottle and mellow.

Best I've ever had, maybe with one exception of a taste of one in Spain, but maybe not!

Next best option to Nick's Roast Beef Sandwich inside Boston/Cambridge

Try the roast beef sandwich at Baker Street Market in West Roxbury. They make it with sauce and mayo, served warm on a toasted onion roll. That's the large, and I love that they have small and medium too, but on different rolls. Really yummy.

Has anyone tried Catalyst yet ?

You sure did. I would have gone for the cod, but was overruled by one of my mates.

Has anyone tried Catalyst yet ?

Truthfully, we did not send anything back as we were testing the waters at such a brand new place, and also trying to have a good time. Next time, I'll be more assertive if there are blatant problems, and I do want to return. But will wait.

Noticed that Area 4 was deserted when we left Catalyst, around 9:15pm. I hope Kendall can support all the new night time businesses!

Has anyone tried Catalyst yet ?

Went for dinner last night, and will wait a couple months before trying again. A couple of things were good (a pureed onion soup, the chicken liver mousse), the sole failed completely by being dry and flavorless, and all the hot food was delivered cold including the fish, the burger (which was done to perfection and would be dynamite if hot), fries, squash ravioli. We got the rookie service staff who delayed getting drinks, couldn't answer a really simple question about wine, kept trying to clear plates while we were actively eating, and we were even asked 'are you still working on that'. Oh boy. The room is great and so is the music. Really comfortable bar stools! I'm hopeful.

Where to find/buy Crabapples?

Derby Farm on Rt. 117 in Stow has crab apples. I couldn't tell you what variety they are, but they were a nice deep red color and just labeled crab apples. Maybe Stow is out of the way, but thought I'd mention it.

p.s. They are my go-to place for cider, too (unpasturized), but they haven't started pressing yet, as of this past weekend.
