Salton Airwave Health Cooker

Wow, I won a Salton Airwave Health Cooker in a contest a Safeway.
Last nite I tried a rotisserie au beuf. It came out nice and rare. The flavor was truly incredible...better than mom's.
I have not much to go on, other than the info-mercial and a tiny book included in terms of recipes. Has anyone tried and succeeded with any dishes? I have a feeling this might be a diamond of an appliance.

Odd/Nontraditional Sushi Rolls?

Some old pals on Oahu turned me on to making homemade Spam musubi. I grill pineapple and sliced spam, spead on the hot Japan mustard then sandwich it between two small mounds of sushi rice. Finish with a wrap of nori.

Do you tend to buy your ethnic ingredients from the same country origin?

I find when I go out of my way to get a recipe exactly authentic it bleeds all the magic out of the dish. It's better to do your best but not go over-board in the sourcing department.

Winter Holiday at Banff Springs!

Hi, I'm actually a born & bread Banff-ite. There has been many changes to our great town. It has become ever more geared to foreign tourists but that's what it was created for.You can still sink into the mountain landscape like anytime before. It's a most magical place in the Rockies. For the best coffee in town, try a little place next to the cinema. I forget the name but it was once owned by my cousin.

Where's my change!?!

I'm usually so preoccupied with what is around me during meals, I hardly notice or almost never notice if my extact change comes back to me. Many times after Ieaving a restuarant,I've discover the server has actually given back change in the + side. I guess it's a bit of reverse Murphy's law in effect. I Love how the Universe works.
