best places to eat in Paris? bistros, cafes, ect?
Hello,
Thank god for this forum! We are going to be in Paris the first 2 weeks of May. We are willing to go anywhere in the area for the best food. We like to go to local places, because it seems to have the best flavor and prices. It doesn't necessarily need to be an expensive place. But if they have good food, then we're willing to spend the money! Can anyone recommend any place?

what's a good place to go to in OC for a first date? I was thinking about Habana's at The Lab. But it's too loud in there. Anyone have any suggestions? My brother has a date tonight and asked me for suggestions! Thanks!

we're planning to have dinner for my birthday in LA. Does anyone have any suggestions? We were planning to go to Katana, but we need to find a place with better portions. It can get pretty expensive there. We are going to be somewhat dress up to go out for the night. So a swanky atmosphere with great food will be wonderful. Thank you!

It seems like alot of places I've been to specialize in rolls. I tend to enjoy sashimi with specialized unique sauces more. Is there any place that has excellent sashimi dishes?

King's Fish House. I've never had the Manhatten but the New England Clam Chowder was delicious there!
Ketchup - what should I order?
all I remember is the 3 types of french fries (cajun, sweet potato, & garlic) with the 5 ketchups. everything else is ok.
Any mexican food place better than El Coyote?

La Verne Italian
Yes, it's Cafe Allegro. My favorite italian spot! I have to drive from OC just to eat there. The Chicken Marsala is the best there!
Best japanese BBQ house in OC or LA?
We eat at Gyu-Kaku alot and was wondering if there are any other japanese bbq spots out there. There's also a place in Costa Mesa called Anjin, which is my favorite, but the lines are too long. It's always an hour wait. Any suggestions? We'll drive anywhere. Thanks!
Any mexican food place better than El Coyote?
I love mexican food and drive to LA from OC just to eat at El Coyote. Is there any place better than that? I love their rice and shredded beef enchiladas. I'm willing to go anywhere if the food is godd! Thank you!
Shabu Shabu in Irvine: House of Shabu
OKAY, I've eaten at alot of shabu places and in Orange County, I think Little Tokyo Shanu Shabu in the City of Industry is the BEST! The goma and ponzu sauce is excellent there! Plus, they have an option of a miso base broth or sukyaki if you don't like the normal seaweed broth! I highly recommend the miso broth! It is so tasty. You don't even have to put anything in it, like you do with the normal seaweed broth. That place blows Irvine Shabu, California Shabu, and Koji's out of the water! The places in Mission Viejo sucks too. Don't even waste your time. If you want to drive, the places in LA are excellent!
Ketchup Restaurant
I think it's okay. There's really nothing special about the place besides the atmosphere. I think the best thing was the fries with the 5 different ketchups. We ordered alot of food between the two of us, just to try everything, and the only thing I remember is the fries. Our bill came out to be around $175. Not very impressed.
Good Clam Chowder?
I think King's Fish House has the BEST New England Clam Chowder! There's one in Orange, Long Beach, and Huntington Beach. It's very consistent and PERFECT every time!
good hip, fun restaurant in LA or Orange County?
Anyone know of a fun place to eat at? I love trying new restaurants. I'm trying to look for places with really good food. Maybe a concept restaurant. I live in OC and drive to LA to eat all the time. I don't care about atmosphere as long as the food is good. Please help!

i love Las Brisas in Laguna Beach for brunch. Great view of the ocean!
Light House Korean Restaurant in Garden Grove
I think it went downhill after they stopped using charcoal. I use to love that place because they were one of the few places that used charocal.
Looking for Tart Yogurt in South Orange County
there's always Pinkberry. The one closest to OC right now is in Belmont Shores or Long Beach. They are opening another location at Irvine Spectrum and Bella Terra in HB. I can't wait! Pinkberry's the best! And there's also ceFiore in Newport Beach or off of Main street in HB.
