Is there a NON CHINESE buffet - Monmouth/Ocean area?

I saw a place called Marina Buffet down past Lacey on Rt. 9 and thought I finally found a non-Chinese, maybe even seafood, buffet. Nope. Not only Chinese, but one of the worst I've ever eaten at. Made the pilgrimage to one of NJ's five Golden Corrals once and it certainly wasn't worth the trip. Can anyone recommend a good non-chinese buffet in the Ocean County area? Or even Monmouth County?

Along the same lines, which casino in AC has the best buffet in your opinion? I've only gone to Bally's which was ok and read a review saying Borgatta was number one by a hair, but I'd like the opinion of my fellow chowhounds.

Thanks!

Best Breakfast Monmouth County

If you want a wide variety of omelets, pancakes and waffles to choose from, a nice little place with every imaginable combination plus lakeside deck seating on Deal Lake in Asbury Park is The Sunset Landing on Sunset Ave just over the bridge from Wanamassa. Nothing fancy, but a nice friendly Hawaiian surfer dude atmosphere.

Good restaurants in belmar, bradley beach, spring lake?

If you want seafood in Belmar, I'd bypass Kleins and head instead to Mr. Shrimp. And I never pass through Bradley Beach without stopping at Vics for a great Italian meal.

French Dip Sandwich - Central Jersey

Yes, Main St was sold and the quality isn't what it used to be.

French Dip Sandwich - Central Jersey

Stay away from Houlihan's. At least for the French Dip. Although most of their food was fine, the French Dip was so extremely salty it hurt my mouth.

Chef Gordon Ramsey @ Mike & Nellis, OceanTwp.

My son went there after the reopening and said that after sitting at his table for 30 minutes waiting to place his order, he got up and left. Sounds like it didn't work

Mr. Shrimp - Belmar

Aside from the excellent food, what I like most about Mr. Shrimp is that the restaurant is spotlessly clean. I've never been in any restaurant so immaculate.

Dine the Shore restaurant reviews

I recently started a blog of restaurant reviews for the Monmouth/Ocean County area in NJ. The best part is that most of the blog is devoted to your reviews, not mine. With pages such as Where is the best chinese buffet, Who has the best pizza, Where is the worst place you've ever eaten, What eateries do you miss?, etc. I would love to get your input. If you have a minute, please stop by and leave your opinions. Thanks!

I found great real rye bread in NJ!

For rye bread crust that will make your gums bleed, try this tip from the old owners of Irv's Deli in Neptune who had great rye bread. Buy it unsliced and slip it into a screaming hot oven for about a minute. That will toast the crust without cooking the inside. Great way to crisp up a bad loaf of rye. Here in Monmouth County a good place for rye bread is Freedman's bakery.
