Sunset Grill, Oia, Santorini - late lunch of fresh caught fish, local olives and a carafe of wine enjoyed with the Aegean Sea at our feet.
My current drink of choice:
Wine
I really wish I could:
Spend a year in rural Italy, Greece and/or France learning to cook local dishes.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
a wonderful selection of cheeses from Alex Farms, some niscoise olives and a baguette
My favorite comfort food:
Pryahi, borscht, dim sum, chow mein, fresh bread.--not all at once
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Lai Wah Hen, Pop Bistro, Batifole, Little Tibet, Bar Mercurio, Zucca
My most tattered cookbooks:
Five Roses Cookbook (a great collection of all the basics), I have 3 generations of it--my grandmother's, my mother's and a recent version. Each one has treasures in it, and they reflect the generational changes in ingredients, cooking styles and food tastes
