Segovia Steak House Main Street Little Ferry or Segovia Restaurant on Moonachie road both have several choices for fillet mingon my favorite is the one wrapped in bacon. Stay away from Steve's unless you like your steak with a very salty marinade. |

Also after the fact but next time consider Segovia Steakhouse 471 Main St Little Ferry we had a party of 9 on Sunday night and there were several different types of steak on the table fillet mignon wrapped in bacon (2), bone in rib eye (1), skirt steak (4) surf & turf (1) with a massive lobster tail and two large tuna steaks blackened. Everything was cooked to perfection and very satisfying. It's not the same atmosphere as Segovia in Moonachie very subdued and highly recommended. There are a few other steaks on the menu too including a porterhouse for two and a 48oz T-Bone and a top sirloin. We have not been dissapointed in any trip we have made there. |

Buying a Steak in NJ (butcher shops) Corrado's in Wayne has a dry aged beef section behind it's meat counter. Although we have been there several times I just noticed it recently. I didn't check prices or quality but like everything else Corrado's you need to use descretion. |

Salute ( glen ridge) vs, Rose Mediterranean ( west caldwell) my point exactly regarding the $27.00 entree which we did not discover until the check was presented |

Salute ( glen ridge) vs, Rose Mediterranean ( west caldwell) we seem to frequent the same places bif but i do not agree with you about frank anthony's while frankie makes a great pizza and their deli/catering is a cut above the restaurant is terribly inconsistant. Tony doesn't know what type of restaurant he wants to run. The last time we were there I had the steak salad and asked for it meduim rare thinking i would be getting a flank, skirt or sirloin for the money we were charged but a 1/4" thin minute steak came out flat on top of the greens cooked through. The double cut pork chop was last priced at $27.00 and the cut was not worth paying that much. My brother-in-law refuses to go back after he had risotto that was flavorless and the time before that a pasta dish that was inedible. We were all for FA moving to the new location and ate there frequently through the changes in chefs and menu items but for us it's the deli or the pizza only! |

i hate to jump on the bandwagon but I agree with bif we ordered two pizzas one with pineapple and were stunned to have it served with canned pineapple i don't think it's too difficult to grill your own pineapple especially if your are offering it as a special topping the rest of the meal was adequate but unimpressive there are other places to have pizza neapolitan style we have heard good things about bivio in little falls but haven't made it there yet i will post a review following our visit |

Our old standby (not stellar) is Murphy's Grill the steak Murphy style is hard to beat for the price they have a bar and sell wine by the carafe (full/half) we live about an hour north and used to have a business in Red Bank on Broad & Monmouth but we still make a point of going to Murphy's once or twice a year usually on the way back from Monmouth Park they used to have a roasted garlic appetizer which was and entire garlic stalk cut in half and grilled until soft like butter we spread that on our bread while we waited for the entrees to be served YUM! |

Northern New Jersey Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans Whole Foods roasts their own beans when I stop in for the breakfast bar in the morning there are beans roasting behind the counter I'm not sure if they are fair trade since I always order the expresso with my food |

Crow's Nest in Hackensack - Anyone Been Lately? the roast beef sandwich and french dip are still one of the best things on the extensive menu it has just about anything you may want to eat form american to italain to irish it depends upon the taste of the diner and what they are in the mood for decent and safe food but not exceptional |

i used to work in Raritan Center and frequented the Liberty You are spot on about the burgers. They also had a meatloaf special on a roll with gravy. Pizza wasn't bad either. Friendly accomodating service both at the bar and tables. |
