Family/Foodie Friendly Maine - large groups

We are really trying to find a place for our first night, Saturday, as it is one person's birthday. That and we arrive that day, so we don't want to cook. :). Thanks for the suggestions. Like the idea of the food truck. We are definitely used to those in Texas.

Thanks. That was kinda what I was thinking as well, but seeing as I am out of state, I thought I could be wrong. I need to find a place that takes reservations.

July 4th week, we are taking a huge (think 18 total) family vacation to Maine. We are staying a week in Castine, taking day trips all over the place through the week. Can I get some recs for family friendly and foodie friendly restaurants around Portland, Camden, Belfast, Rockland, or Bar Harbor? We have 5 toddlers, 8 30-something's, and 5 60s+ adults. Thanks!

How "family friendly" would you consider this? We are taking a huge family trip to Maine this summer. We are a group of 18. About 8 of us are 30somethings, we have our parents, (50-60) something's, and 5 kiddos (1-3). We will be celebrating a 30th birthday and a 29th birthday this night, and the 29 year old and his wife travel based on food, so this is their rec. Are we crazy to take this many there?

Chili's was my example - we are NOT going there! :)

There won't be a meal served at the party, just some hors d'orves, so we want a meal so that the wine won't go to our heads (ok, fine, MY head!).

I'm looking for a place to eat before a company Christmas party on Friday. Clearly we aren't planning much in advance! Doesn't have to be uber fancy, but someplace where we won't feel odd being dressed nice (ie, wearing tuxes at Chili's or something). Muchas gracias, in advance!
