Jiro Dreams of Sushi

Anyone watched it at the TIFF yet?!
So excited!!! (:

Pearl at Bayview Village

There may already be a thread about this but I was wondering how it is doing. Is the food good? Is it similar to the Pink Pearl downtown? I want to try it but haven't had the chance to.

Banh Mi Boys

Went to grab a lunch there with a friend and had the kalbi taco, pork belly banh mi and the grilled pork banh mi. Though not traditional, they were awesome! Taco had a chinese onion pancake type shell and the banh mi's were crunchy, chewy, tasty and spicy wrapped into one. So worth going! ALSO, they have fob drinks like soy milk. So happy there (:

Razor Clams

Where's the best place to get them? I'm thinking STLM.

Burger Priest North York

I don't know if this was mentioned but this is gonna make north york 10000000 times better.

Is it just me or do other people love this place too? not so into j-town's fish market (i like taros more) but I think that Famu is definitely one of the best butchers out there.

Where to go for GOOD SOUP

I second Porchetta and Co everything they make is just sexy

Jonah Crab Claws

I wanted to try some after reading the Momofuku cookbook. I love crab and I'm assuming these are super sweet. I'm specifically looking for the ones from Maine and I was wondering where I could buy it, order it from a fish munger or even order it online?

ISO: Momofuku Noodle Bar Shrimp Buns in Toronto!

you could just wait a couple more months for momofuku to come to Toronto :P

Marben's Pig Night - Oct 30

I just ate at Marben tonight and when I was leaving I saw a "PIG NIGHT (or feast I don't remember) OCT 30". I didn't bother going back in to ask but now I'm curious. Anyone know what Pig night entails?

kaji vs hashimoto

Actually when I went to kaji recently, I was surprisingly full after the tasting menu. Btw there are smaller tasting courses for 100 and 80 which are both somewhat substantial if you don't have a huge appetite.

kaji vs hashimoto

I've already been to kaji which was by far the best japanese food i've ever had and I've heard really good things about Hashimoto. Are they comparable or is one of them better? I really should just go eat there :)

decent charcuterie, besides the Black Hoof and Buca?

decent charcuterie, besides the Black Hoof and Buca?

Do you guys know if you can actually buy the charcuterie and bring it home?

Cured Pork Belly

I was wondering where I could find a whole cured pork belly. I was planning on making porchetta based on the recipe porchetta and co puts on their website. Thank!
