Just came from lunch for 2. Thought the food was very average, the waitress was disengaged and the prices were high for what it is. Although the descriptions of thing sound very good, the food simply doesn't deliver. The menu is basically pulled pork, burgers and fries. There was no option offered as to how the burgers (we had the slider flight) should be cooked, they were well done and dry. The fries were hand cut, limp and greasy. One of us had the pastrami and swiss on rye special, very greasy and certainly nothing "special". We certainly hope that these folks can make a go of it, as new places are always a welcome addition to town, but for 37 bucks out the door for 3 sliders,1 sandwich and 2 sodas, we'll see.

Any Update on Zina's in Ambler?

What a shame… a go to spot for a good breakfast. Such nice folks as well. Sure going to miss them and wish them all the best.

Did a little sleuthing… appears as though Toll Brothers bought the land in 2012.

Springhouse Tavern

One last thought...... This restaurant is bad, Mother's Day and every day. They are sitting in a prime location with untold potential and year after year they continue to pump out mediocre (at best) food and have an ownership team that clearly couldn't care less. I guess P.T. Barnum said it best. Thanks to all who weighed in.

Springhouse Tavern

You spend so much time on this board, that I guess we can all benefit from your dining out expertise. Thanks

Springhouse Tavern

The fact that it was a holiday, is no excuse for how bad this, or any other restaurant, is/was.It was not that busy. Subpar food and failure to properly execute is simply indicative of how poorly run this place is.

BEST fast food experience I ever had. I give it five out of five waffle fries.

You hit the nail on the head. ALL restaurants, casual or otherwise, should aspire to what this restaurant is all about; a consistently great customer experience. On one hand, I wish they'd take it public, I'd be a big buyer. On the other hand, that would probably wreck it !

Springhouse Tavern

Have just returned from an abysmal Mother's Day experience at this awful restaurant. First, they pulled the old "overpriced holiday menu" joke in place of their normal menu. Never even offered water or replacement of used utensils, lukewarm cafeteria style food..... How does this place continue to survive ? I guess it's because the average clientele doesn't have a computer. There are so many better choices in the area. Our recommendation, avoid at all costs. The owners don't have a clue.

Robert'o Trattoria

Have just learned that Roberto's best server and customer favorite, Bill, is no longer with the restaurant. He was certainly one of the restaurant's best assets. He was one of the main reasons we and many of our friends went there. A real loss for this establishment. Wherever he goes, they will be lucky to have him.

Paganini's Pizza?

Not to pile on, but anything Paganini in Dtown is consistently awful. I have absolutely no idea how they stay in business. They obviously don't ever read about themselves here.

Paganini - Doylestown

We were only in town because a friend was participating in a short "!st Fri. event." We have been to all of the other restaurants you named and they are all far superior. We didn't expect much from Paganini in the first place, and got even less. Bummer.

Paganini - Doylestown

Having been to this restaurant before (and not loving it) we made the unfortunate mistake of going there again last night because the wait at 86 West was too long. This is without a doubt, the worst restaurant in Doylestown and we have been to almost all of them. The service was awful, not greeted at our table for at least ten minutes, multiple requests for water and bread were ignored mistakes on orders, etc. And then there's the food/menu. Most of the dishes here are pasta with little or no protein component. Last night we were told that we could add a meatball to our pasta and so I did. Then the dish came out without it and I was told the chef didn't feel it went with that dish. I replied that the chef was an idiot. And the dish sucked, to boot. After a painstaking hour and a half we declined coffee and dessert, paid the $200 tab (for four) and headed over to 86 West for a nightcap to blot out the memory of the terrible meal we had just endured. We will NEVER set foot in this poor excuse for an Italian restaurant again and suggest you do the same. I guess the place survives on tourists who go there unknowingly. I'm sure regular D'town diners know better.

Humiliating experience at Dettera

It doesn't seem to me that the issue here is food or atmosphere at this restaurant. What's at issue is the arrogant stance of management pertaining to these patrons. Clearly, most of the posters here agree.

Humiliating experience at Dettera

We have been to Dettera a few times since opening and have always felt that something about management just doesn't value the customer's satisfaction. There is always something standoffish about the place and we have permanently crossed it off our list. We dine out at least 3 times a week and are local and would happily include it, were it not for the fact that there are a number of other places that are a better value and always make their customers feel welcome and appreciated. Clearly, the owners of Dettera just don't get it.

Ambler-- going into the old beer distributor building (239 E. Butler Pike)

It's my understanding from a reliable source, that it will once again be a beer distributor. No drive thru this time around though. Cheers !

Late Sunday brunch at Lacroix?

Had brunch there recently and saw several parties arrive at 1:30 or later. From what we observed
there was still plenty of everything and the service was first class. Although we arrived a little after noon, many folks came in later. Brunch was excellent in every way.

Had brunch there a few weeks back, although I did see jeans, they were few. Khaki pants and a nice shirt was the order of the day. At night, I might add a jacket.
