Thanks! Yes, we do have reservations at the listed places already, and I was thinking that Lou Malnati's was the place for pizza. Glad to get confirmation! Am I missing any places that locals go?

We are coming to Chicago in June for the first time and would welcome any insight to where we should go. Here is a brief run-down of where we plan on going:
Lunch: Frontera Grill, Pizza from somewhere(!), UB hot dogs,
Dinner: Bavettes, North Pond, Publican/Avec, Girl and the Goat
Drinking: Green Mill, Aviary

What other places are musts? Cocktail Lounges? Burgers? Bars? Thanks!

Quintessential, Casual Dinner

Thanks! We are leaning towards Cochon or Cochon Butcher for lunch. Is this a mistake?

Quintessential, Casual Dinner

We are coming to town in June and already planning on dinner at Herbsaint, August, and Three Muses. I am hoping for recommendations for our first night in town, something a little less expensive but can't miss. Our list includes: Sylvain, Brigstens, and Boucherie. Staying near the quarter but willing to travel. Thoughts?

Pizza Pilgrimage to Bay Area

It seems like everybody else has good advice about procedure, but just wanted to add another vote for Emilia's in Berkeley. To us, it is the best pie in the Bay Area, always prepared and cooked perfectly. It's a one man operation, from the east coast, who absolutely knows what he's doing, as good as any back east.
