This my exotic bread thing at the moment: Pear & Hazelnut loaf. really great. Since i got my Breadmaker I've been going a bit mad with experimentation. Nothing has gone (excuse the pun) pear-shaped yet! Here's the recipe- http://theideaskitchen.co.uk/cook/rec... |

any restaurants with interesting fall mushroom dishes in London? Hey! What not have a go at making your own Mushroom Soup, using wild mushrooms? I did and it worked out fine (as well as being cheaper!). Here's the recipe I followed: http://theideaskitchen.co.uk/cook/rec... |

I am looking for a GREAT meatball recipe Hey! I tried the meatball recipe above from mcf and it was great! Thanks for that! I am going to do it again for friends this weekend, and propose to have some "tear and share" bread rolls to go with it, containing Marmite: Ingredients: 1 ¼ tsp yeast Filling: 6 tsp marmite Place ingredients into the bread machine in the order listed above. Use the Pizza dough setting 45 mins. Here's more detail and a picture: http://theideaskitchen.co.uk/cook/rec... |

Best Ethiopian restaurant in London? I've only ever been to one, Dahlak in Brixton. So not got much to compare it with, but it seemed friendly and the food was tasty and different! |

Some places in Brixton Village market, London Hmm. The Middle Eastern Salad bar looks good. I was down the market there last week and my jamaican friend was buying oxtails and stuff from a big halal butcher, and I swear that there in polystyrened shrink-wrapped containers were what looked like Velociraptors skulls! OMG! Enough to make you go Veggie! |

A few questions on English restaurant practices Hi folks! I've come across a couple of West End of London restaurants that have a 15% service charge, one optional, and one compulsory (which I refused to pay as the service was poor!). Bizarrely, my local Indian Takeaway, which gives 10% discount upon collection, has also added a 10% service charge!! |
