"apocalypse" meal for couple downtown

woah these are some seriously great choices thank you so much! As for your list of restaurants with unusual meats, i can only assume that you can read minds. I hope to hit every one of those places one day

thanks for the reply, those are all great! I was toying with the idea of Babbo , but that is definitely at the top of the price range (so I guess trying to spend $50-100 per person.)
As for things we like, our favorite dining experience has probably been casa mono. We love the momofuku restaurants as well. Girlfriend's a big desert person so a good desert is a must. We love mexican food, japanese, italian, french, but we're super open. I'd love to take her to a place like WD-50 but thats definitely not an option.
we'll probably be eating around 6/6:30

I'm looking for an adventurous place to take my foodie girlfriend (23)tomorrow night preferably in the downtown westt area. Basically open to anything, as long as its remotely feasible to get a table tomorrow. Hoping for something out of the ordinary but delicious is naturally first priority.

Thursday Brunch for Girlfriend's 23rd Birthday

thanks for the recommendations, Joseph Leondard looks particularly delicious. I'll definitely post to the outer boroughs as well.

Thursday Brunch for Girlfriend's 23rd Birthday

My girlfriend's 23rd is coming up and since she LOVES brunch, I want to take her to a really nice place (willing to go pretty much all out here aka $100-150 range for 2) I'm having some difficulty finding places that will serve brunch (or brunchlike) food on a thursday afternoon, my main two as of now are 5 Ninth in the meatpacking district (which comes with the bonus of an outdoor patio and the nearby highline) or Cafe Orlin. We live on the outskirts of Williamsburg, so something relatively closeby would be better because we have no car and will be hungry! We're very adventurous and places that have some other wow-factor/nearby activity would be ideal, but naturally the food is of the utmost importance.

Week-long visit for family looking to explore everything SF has to offer

Hello!
I'm a college kid major food lover looking for some recommendations for some sweet SF dining. From august 10-17 my mom, younger sister, and I will be visiting for a week. We'll be staying in the financial district and, while we're definitely looking for at least 2 or 3 nice, somewhat expensive places (maybe I can finagle one really amazing meal), I'm primarily looking for the affordable, adventurous, and indispensable san francisco spots. Most of my time during the day will be spent wandering around either alone or with my 16 year old sister, so we're really free to do some exploring. We will eat basically anything, so if anyone can recommend some food trucks, markets, some casual lunch spots, or really anything that would make our experience there delicious and exciting.
