Passagens Spisehus was one of my favorite restaurants in 2000-2001 when I was in CPH frequently. I did some searching and found a restaurant review from January 2005 that mentioned that the ownership had changed and so did the food concept. This summer a "New York sushi" restaurant closed in the same location after being open for 5.5 years. An article mentioned that the owner was called Mads Davidsen. I remember the guy; he was very talkative and dynamic. It is quite interesting that this concept predates NOMA by a number of years and there was nothing like this in CPH at the time. The restaurant was very reasonable priced. Here is an article from May 2001. I wonder what happened to the guy?

I just bought the Bonnes Petities Tables Michelin guide. It's in there and is on my short list to try soon, but maybe not with a 2 month wait. I guess it must be in the main guide too since it has a *. I only have the 2010 main guide.

Eating out in Japan, the language issue

You'd be surprised by the type of restaurant that does not have an English (or other European language) menu. For example, the brasserie of Michelin starred Chez Matsuo, which is located on the top floor of Bunkamura, only has a Japanese menu. At least when you go to a French restaurant then they normally have the menu in French.

Michelin guide Bonnes Petites Tables Tokyo

Too bad it's only in Japanese. I was at my local French place yesterday and told them that they deserve a Michelin star after a great meal, and they informed me that they will be in the guide published on July 13, which confused me a bit.
