Blame the food cartels, I mean marketing boards, for that. OTOH, it's great that Triple D is coming to Vancouver. Can't wait to see what Guy finds here. |

where to buy heavy cream on vancouver island bc I hate the milk cartel. Milk, butter, cheese is half the price in Washington state compared to BC. Whenever I see modified milk ingredients on a label, back on the shelf it goes. I don't buy grocery store "ice cream" anymore for that reason. Modified milk ingredients have been creeping in to sour cream and cheeses as well. Thankfully I haven't seen the worst of them all at grocery stores where I live, chocolate dairy beverage. Feel so bad for people in Ontario that got tricked by that. |

In the Wilderness of Surrey...are there any good eats out here? Surrey is a food wasteland. Mostly fast food, chain restaurants, and poor quality pizza, Chinese, Japanese, Indian. |

Breyer's ice cream quality (split from Ontario board) Nestle also has the frozen dessert label on a good portion of their products. Unfortunately, Breyers and Nestle frozen desserts take up the majority of the shelf space in the ice cream section of the grocery stores in my neighborhood. |

"Only in Canada" food items: add to the list Modified milk ingredients that have replaced real milk in a good percentage of cheese, ice cream, chocolate milk, yogurt, sour cream found in Canadian grocery stores, to the point where certain products can no longer be called ice cream, milk, cheese. Gotta love that frozen dessert and chocolate dairy beverage. Made in Canada indeed. |
