Storing food processor blades... what do you do?

The blades all fit into my Kitchen Aid 7 qt mixer bowl, which I store right next to the food processor.

Friend coming home to Richmond, VA

Check out Proper Pie - they have great food are are pretty well priced. A pie for one is $5ish, and they have vegan options. Everything is delicious.

Grand Central Market Bang Bang

I'm a big fan of the pupusaria. Pork and cheese w/ curtido will set you back $3 and it's delicious.

"Proper Pie Co." Richmond Va

Proper pie is a true Richmond gem. Everything is delicious. My husband is a big fan of the caramel square. I love the mince and cheese, and the sausage rolls. So delicious.

Menu suggestion for macaroni and cheese main dish

I love the Martha Stewart recipe!! It's my favorite!!!!! The suggestion for salmon cakes is a great one. I've done crab cakes before, or even shrimp cakes would work, I think. Maybe an eggplant parm kind of casserole would be a great contrast to the gentle mac and cheese tastes.

CANOLA OIL -- do you detect any "fishiness" or funky smell/taste? YEA OR NAY?

Yes, I can usually pick it out right away. It's the exact same kind of fishy taste I get when I eat at Wendy's. For the life of me, I can't figure out why their burgers taste fishy to me, unless they are frying in canola oil.

12 Alt-Milks for Today's Alt-Bros

Not sure if you are trying to make me feel 'uncool' for liking coconut milk in my cereal. But hey, I drink raw milk, too. So do I pass ?

Buying a used Vitamix?

I bought a refurbished Vitamix and have been very happy with it. They give you brand new containers and lids, and I haven't had a single problem with it in 4 years. I paid $350 and it would have cost closer to $600 new at the time.

Signs of a NOT Authentic Chinese Restaurant

We have a Peter Chang restaurant here, and his food is as authentic chinese as it comes. Even at Peter Chang's, they offer General Tsao's because people want it. If you want authentic, though, his restaurants are the place to eat. And the food is great.

Far-away Chains on your "To Do" List

Dick's Last Resort makes Appleby's look like gourmet food. Don't waste your time or your money.

I like a Jimmy John's sandwich once in awhile - I like the wheat bread.

Are You Still Licking the Spoon and Egg Beaters

Pudding off of a wooden spoon is one of my favorites, still. Brownie batter is delicious off of a spoon. I like to dip bread in my red sauce, rather than tasting it off of a spoon. I dip Frito's Scoops into Chili, for sampling, too.

She's 15 and she won't starve. I wouldn't waste a lot of time on it. I'd let it go. She can eat what you prepare, or not.

I bread mine, bake in the oven, then freeze in ziplock bags. When I want to eat them, I take them out of the freezer and assemble with sauce and cheese, etc, and bake them frozen.

Best of Top Chef

My GF calls Michael V 'the dirty Voltaggio'.

Cook-Out restaurant?

Really poor quality junk food. Having said that, my college aged kids eat there a lot. They get really excited by the 'sides' you can order, like a corn dog or chicken nuggets instead of the usual fries.

The Most Fabulous Candy Bar Ever

I'm going to try these at home. That good Ghiradelli white chocolate I use to make peppermint bark would be good in this.
