Alan Wong's -- tasting menu vs. a la carte? The whole tomato salad with the li hing dressing is the single greatest thing I've ever tased :) (I think) |

Oahu/Waikiki - Relaxed Dinner Recs? Personally, I enjoy the "cook your own" idea, a lot of people don't. When you are in the baggage claim area, send the kids over to the stands by the luggage carousel and get all the toursist rags, there are about 5 or 6 different ones, some good, some not, but a lot have coupons in them. I like the "Oahu Drive Guide" and "This Week Oahu" the best. |

Any Good Taiwanese Chinese in San Diego? I know a branch of Liang's opened there recently, but are there others? I have to be down there on business a couple of days next week. |

Capital Seafood is opening in the Irvine Spectrum. Can I stop driving to Monterey Park for dim sum now? How is Capital in Orange County? I've been to Capital Seafood in Monterey Park and thought it was okay, has anyone been to the ones in Irvine? |

Best places for pre-theatre dinner near San Diego Civic Theatre? All of those and Downtown Johnny Brown's. The menu is simple, the beer menu isn't and it is in the same complex as the theater. Not a place to go if you are looking for a fancy place as part of the experience of the night, but I see a lot of opera patrons in there before performances. Beer and tuxes, an odd juxtaposition. ----- |

I believe that is the "House Without a Key" and I think getting a table for ten would be very difficult. I don't think Morton's or Ruth's Chris would stay under $50pp when you add in the sides, etc. Chuck's vs Chart House, enh, it is like a contest between Nobu and Morimoto, neither is the best, but each has their fans. |

Honolulu honeymoon - restaurants I dunno, having been to both Hawaii Kai and Waikiki, I'd have to opt for Hawaii Kai as well. Waikiki isn't bad, but it isn't as good as Hawaii Kai. Happy Hour at the Top of Waikiki and Duke's are great, Moose's isn't bad for drinking at Happy Hour either. Check the Friday edition of Pulse in the HNL Star Advertiser for the "pau hana" (Hawaiian for "end of work" or Happy Hour) specials. ----- |

Dottie's True Blue Cafe - the lemming breakfast Nice review.... I would wait 2 hours in a freezing rain for El Bulli or the Fat Duck..... there is no breakfast in the world worth more than a 30 minute wait... especially not in a city like SF, there are simply too many other places to choose from. |
