Son of a Gun, Hungry Cat, Mozza and then what?

One more note... My wife really, really, really loved Mozza. I did too. She say's best pizza she has ever had, and I say best meatballs I have ever had. I know there is some debate about their meatballs, but I eat meatballs often and I personally give them the highest mark.

Thanks to all (Phurstluv). LA was great. Arrived 1 am to hollywood. Hit Papaya King for some great homerun dogs. Had to work from the hotel in the am. Hit Joans on Third for BLT, pastries and coffee. Off to LACMA. Had lunch at LACMA (duck, and my wife had some salads). *The impressionist room is small but fantastic* LACMA is great. Tim Burton exhibit was good. Back to the hollywood W (hotwire good price). Mozza for dinner. Fantastic. Had the bone marrow, meatballs, clam pizza. My wife had the squash blossoms and scallion, bacon, goat cheese pizza. Her pizza was insane. I would skip the clam pizza. It was great, but I have had clam pizza many times and should have gone for something new. Slept very late on Saturday. Walked to Unami and shared the unami burger with my wife. She liked it. I loved it. Perfect burger. Had to run to Kodak Theatre to see Iris (Cirque du Solei) sp? It was fantastic. Dinner at THE HUNGRY CAT! I cannot say enough good things about the cat. INSANE. I totally flaked out though and did not get the small tier. What an idiot. I went for half dozen oysters(FANTASTIC) and the clams with chorizo, white beans, kale. My wife had the white sea bass with eggplant. Mine was great, but hers was another level. She says the best seafood dish she has had, and I find it hard to argue. We had the special drink (blueberry hill)....insane. We really wished we could return to the Hungry Cat the next day. Again, I cannot say enough good things about the cat. It is my favorite in LA now.... Grabbed a cab to the Bowl for a great concert. FANTASTIC! Arrived just in time. Walked down the hill after and walking down hollywood blvd noticed that Loteria was still open! (last customers). Had some great tinga, cochinita, and mole tacos with some arroz verde and plantains. These are great tacos. Slept late on Sunday. Off to Venice. Went to Venice farmers market and stocked up. My cousin took us to Wahoos fish tacos, and then we hung out on Venice beach and in the marina. Had to go back to PHX at 6 (could not get the day off on Monday) but not before a quick stop at Mendicino Farms. I had the pork belly vietnamese sando and my wife got the heirloom blt. GREAT SANDOS!
It was a great time in LA as always. Thanks for all the help. Some things I wish we had time for are......Jitlada, Son of a Gun (did get a photo at the door), and to explore the ramen scene. Sounds like a good reason to return. Thanks again.

Thanks Phurstluv. This is a great list. I think I am sold on Jitlada. I have seen lots written about it in the past, and it is close to the Bowl so I think I need the green thai mussels. Have you tried the Fried Red Snapper & Crispy Basil at Jitlada? It looks great.

We have a Lees Sandwich branch out here in AZ, but that Mendocino version is a new level. Very interesting menu.

It is always good to know where the best pastor can be be found. My wife is from Mexico City so we have our favorites there (El Tizoncito, Rincon de la Lechuza ,Califa). If you are ever in Phoenix the best tacos(by far) are at La Condesa, and the only good pastor is at America's Taco Shop. Thanks again.... Yep I see Thai mussels in the future.

THANKS TO ALL!. These are great ideas. A FRAME, BP Oysterette, Nickel Diner and The Spice Table are completely new to me. Really impressed by the spice table menu and what I gather is the concept. Not sure I am wrapped around the concept yet, but I really like it and it sounds like the chef is super man. Thanks Phurstluv for the mozza tips. Parks BBQ i have heard a lot about, but I am not sure I understand it. You cook your own food right? What looked good to me on the menu was the soups. Can I just cruise in there and get a soup at a bar type seat and be on my way? Rustic Canyon looks insane, I just do not think I have time or money for it. Huckleberry is the same people right? The fried egg sando at Huck looks like fantastic. Thanks for the punk tips. I probably should have typed OLD school punk. I am getting slow these days. We are coming out to see Rodrigo Y Gabriela at the Bowl. Not exactly and old school punk show. Thanks so much for all the help. If any LA locals are still here I would ask the question::: If you had 4 days in LA what 3 dishes are a must? Thanks again!

Son of a Gun, Hungry Cat, Mozza and then what?

Thanks in advance to any response. I am a big fan of LA, and am excited to be getting ready for a trip in August. My wife and I have a limited budget, but we will be in the Hollywood area for 4 days in August. This is my initial list of spots to try:
Son of a Gun
Mozza
Of course Papaya King (from the east, but now live in AZ)
Hungry Cat (am I overplaying this card after Son of a Gun even if I love seafood?)
Salt's Cure (probably just for a BLT, but if you have a recommendation I would love it)
Unami Burger or Golden State??? or another?
Chego

Some ideas that are up in the air:
Fathers Office
Street
Animal

Thanks for the help. I think by this list you can tell what I like and point me to something I am missing.
Price is not the biggest concern. It things get too high we just share some dishes and on to the next place. We are old school punks that like good food.
