No, no Mickey just caffiene in the decaf at the 23rd St Joe both times I got it there. Never again.

Try Momoya on 7th and 21st. It's not as expensive and the kitchen is very good.

No. I went there, they put together the order while I waited and I took a taxi back the 2 miles or so to my apartment. Even the tuna salad I bought for a picky nephew tasted old. My guess is their business had fallen off drastically that week but they still sold what they had on hand. That would account for the nova being good because it's their best seller.

This is a little late in reporting but Mother's Day brunch was sadly horrible due to almost inedible and on the edge of just plain bad fish ( except for the nova) I purchased at R& D. It seems many of the patrons were ordering "local" fish due to the Japanese nuclear accident I think but I never gave it a thought and just ordered $200+ of nova, Baked salmon, white fish, sable, sturgeon and accoutrements as I always do on MD.

It was an embarrassment as well as an event spoiler for my extended family. What a waste. All but the nova went in the garbage after we put out the platters.

No I didn't call them. I don't know why.

I'd have to say, no. For $150 for three you'd be better off not attempting to go to what is in reality a high-end Japanese restaurant. The best omekase there is $250 PP. Imagine what you'll get for 1/5th of that.

You don't even need tastebuds to discern the difference between organic and nonorganic milk. Take skim for instance, organic skim is NOT BLUEISH MILKY WATER. Compare for yourself. This is no placebo effect unless you think a frozen TV dinner is just as good as a freshly prepared meal.

My experience with Joe TAOC and their decaf is that it tastes great but has a whole lotta caffiene. Beware.

WF Union Square had them but there have been some contamination issues with raw almonds and so now they're often labelled as steamed.
