Traveling to McAllen later this week and will be entertaining clients from Midwest. I too am from the Midwest and will be visiting McAllen for the first time... and without a tour guide I need some help picking a spot for dinner... memorable, but nothing over the top (midwestern audience)... contemplating a road trip to the shore in S.Padre, but more time entertaining and less time in a car would be preferred...any/all suggestions, please!

A group of 7 first time visitors to NOLA ~ coming from all over the US and EUR will spend weekend for a Bachelor's retreat...

Obvious that there are plenty of Bourbon St. 'options' for actual bachelor party (Sat), but I'm really looking for something different for Thur/Friday...

Staying near Bourbon @ Jackson Sq. and want to see some of the city most do not. Any suggested guy's night agenda's... food, drinks, etc.
