I don't believe that at 6:00 pm on a Sunday evening the vibe was about picking up anyone. It was about having dinner and there was quite a few families with older children having dinner there!

We just got back from Montreal tonight. My husband, 5 year old son and myself had dinner at Garde Manger on Sunday, May 22, 2011. To be honest, we were a little nervous about the situation because of what we had read on the previous thread posted here about the subject. However, when I made the reservation I mentioned that there was a child, they argued the license but I argued back and asked why that was so. He then said fine your reservation is for three people at 6 pm. When we arrived they sat us with no problems. The staff went out of there way to make my son feel welcome. They were more than accommodating. When I paid the bill, I asked our server about this situation. She explained it quite well...Garde Manger is not a family restaurant like Applebees or St. Hubert but if a child does come to dinner with their parents then it's no problem at all. I do need to mention that my son is very well behaved and has eaten around the world at some very excellent establishments...including Le Grand Vefour in Paris.
Chuck wasn't there! Too bad!
The pricing was a little expensive but I will say the food was outstanding. I'm trying to attach a photo so you can see for yourself.
