Tips for Great Fried Chicken

I am about to make some fried chicken right now. I am going to mix buttermilk and coconut milk and see what happens the seasoning will be a throw in of various dried spices... I will let you know how it comes out...

I haven't read the article. I don't plan on it. Of course this issue matters. It's a magazine about food!! If she doesn't eat it or enjoy it. Then she needs to save those musings for W Magazine and Vogue. That is their target market. Bon Apetite is not the place. And they wonder why I won't renew my suscribption.

Pies 'n' Thighs Alive and Kicking

I ate here for the first time on Sunday. I don't know what the hype is all about. Their food lacks flavor.

The cheese grits were runny and lacked cheese.

Their waffles taste like cardboard. They fail to mention that they are made of buckwheat.

So I got the blueberry pancakes which were lack luster. Two pancakes partially burnt and uneven in size with 10 blueberries on the side blueberry pancakes do not make! smh

The only thing worth eating is the chicken and biscuit and their banana pie with vanilla wafer pie crust.

Their fried chicken is okay, nothing to shout off the top of the roof about.

The place has major insect problems, flies, bees, and nats all over the place. The guy who bussed the tables was very clean but those bugs were not budging!

It is amazing what passes for good food these days....

Boozy Cocktail Milk Shakes

I love boozed up milkshakes!!! My all time favorite is a Nutella Milkshake with some Maker's Mark. I add Malt to it and chocolate sauce to make it extra decadent....YUMM!!!

Interesting...since I have stopped eating at McDonalds. Burger King, Wendy's, etc. I only do it big burgers like Five Guys, Burger 67, Pop Burger, etc., (NYC) and people who add twists and flare to their beef! But there is nothing like making your own!! Quit complaining and get to cooking!!

Fresh herbs and butter!!

I like to make Rosemary Butter. It is so good! Take fresh Rosemary only melt butter right before it clarifies add fresh Rosemary cook until the aroma hits. If you mince the Rosemary you can leave it in but it may over power. I use it whole and remove it after then use as a garnish.

Businesses should take the time and money to research names to make sure there is no confusion or conflict. I am surprised Graffit actually thought that this would not be a problem. It cost them a whole lot more in the end. Don't be messin' with a former Next Iron Chef Contestant!!

Elinore please don't use this method. Cooking with closed anything is never good! Look at pressure cookers they have a lock and seal with a release for steam for a reason...
