A friend's coming to Austin asking me if there's any Thai fusion restaurants, specifically a Tex Mex meets Thai hook up.

Are there any?

I'm not an expert on Austin Thai cuisine, and a Google search didn't seem to come up with too many leads.

So, Chowhounders, anyone have a lead on a Thai place that does fusion? Even if it's not Tex Mex?

Any bakeries around Austin that make blue velvet cake? I know a lot do the red, but I was hankering for something a wee bit different.

Was thinking Bluenote might do a specialty version, but curious to see if anyone knows of other bakeries that might have some available?
