Itinerary review Basque country and tips Bilbao

Just arrived in SS couple hours ago from Etxebarri. The food was amazing but I almost went into food coma. I ordered the tasting menu while my wife had lobster salad, half portion fish + half portion beef. I didn't expect the main course in the tasting menu to be a full size steak. As much as we were full to our foreheads, we still managed to finish everything because the smoky taste was so magical.
With a rental car, we decided to stay up in the hill near Igeldo at Hotel Leku Eder. The rate is quite decent with free parking and internet. Our patio over looking the ocean and cliff. Not sure how it compares to others though. We don't drink so we don't mind commute a little to town. Got Mugaritz, Arzak, and Akelarre lined up for lunch in the coming days. We may also try to catch a morning trip to Hondarribia.

Last minute check on the Itinerary - Is Cinc Sentits for lunch and Moo for dinner too much on the same day?

Looks like all restaurants are good to go. We will definitely post our thoughts after we get back! Thanks for all the feedback.

Any suggestion for Madrid? Any must go? Or maybe something to ease down the big meals in SS?

Food adventure in Barcelona and San Sebastian - Itinerary review

I just realized that I didn't save enough time for Basque coast, let along making to SS for lunch. In any case, Asador Etxebarri confirmed 5/18 for lunch, which means I need to push out Mugaritz, Akelare and Arzak by a day.

How long does a full tasting menu take assuming no alcohol? We now plan to take the 4:40 train to Madrid on 5/21. If seated at 1pm, do you think we still enjoy a full lunch at Akelare and leave at 3:40? Have you seen tourists bringing their luggage to lunch at these restaurants?

We will have cars from 18-21. Should be able to have good visit coverages. Any suggestion on where to go or more importantly, to eat, in SS on 5/21 morning and early afternoon? We are planning to take 4:30 bus to Madrid. Thanks!

Heeney <= It's always easier to do copying and pasting! Thanks for your posting! Tried to bookTickets but it looks like it is full for the next couple months!

We will stay 1 night in Bilbao on 5/17 and 3 nights in SS. Got a rental car for 3 days as well so we can visit the restaurants as well as easier access to Basque coast.
When are you going to be in Barcelona/BilBao/SS?

My wife are more into food than arts and once the restaurant bookings are confirmed, it would be easier to plan the rest of the trip. Didn't know about Gaudi's until I started reading the travel guide... We should be in Barri Gotic area for Picasso Museum.

It would be redundant to go to Igueldo in we are heading to Basque area. I will keep that in mind! Thanks for the tip.

Taipei Recommendations - 2011

- 永和豆漿 大王 on Fushin +1
I always have their 鹹豆漿 and 燒餅夾蛋餅

- 鼎泰豐 +1
松露小籠包 is truly amazing. Don't forget to try their fried rice

-For 牛肉麵, I like 林東芳 on 八德路/安東街. If you are staying at Sheraton and do not care of cost/performance, their 牛肉麵 in the lobby cafe is pretty good too.

-For 蚵仔煎, 蚵仔湯, 炒腰花 go to the entrance of 寧夏夜市 (賴)

-藍家掛包 in 公館
掛包 and 四神湯

-For sushi, my all time favorite is 遊壽司 II near 麗水 and 金華

- Fifteen - Napoli pizza
Yes, pizza in Taipei. While truffle and Florence are very popular
