I am throwing a SuperBowl party this Sunday and would LOVE to find that red and white checkered diner paper to serve chicken wings. I have been looking at several restaurant suppliers in Montreal but no luck yet. At this point, I would be happy finding a restaurant that serves their chicken wings or else in baskets with that type of paper. If anyone can remember where they saw it last, please let me know. I'll buy it directly from the restaurant.
I really appreciate the response. I will go see if I can order a custom knife. I really hope this will work out as I have been looking for the perfect knife for years. Do you know if there are lefty stores in the city? Thanks
I totally agree that the Patty and the Bun must be the same size. I never really notice it over there before, maybe because it took so long for me to be served that by the time I got my burger I was so famished that I inhaled it. I'll make a point to check it out next time my husband and I go. You said you had harissa, which is not supposed to make your burger soggy, its consistency is that of tomato paste, but some places make it so oily that it will obviously make the bun soggy. Also, what kind of an idiot puts sauce on the bottom of the bun??? Surely your experience would have been different if the sauce was spread on top of the burger instead.
Thanks for your help! I've had a really hard time all my life with knives and scissors. When I try to cut up food it always comes out looking warped on one side. I lived in Europe for over 10 yrs and never came across a knife I could properly use. Basically I find myself to be really challenged in the kitchen when using all kinds of utensils, even with the cap opener. I don't know about you but I am 200% lefty, cannot do anything properly with my right hand. I will definitely try those two stores. Thank you very much :)
I used to live in NDG for about a year and my husband and I went to BDV quite a few times. We were never disappointed by the hamburger (which is delicious and not expensive for the quality) but I must say that service is catastrophic. On a busy day, you are lucky to get your fries by the time you are ready to leave. I once was able to finish my entire drink (glasses are very tall there) and still had no food on my table. You must be patient when going there, especially during those very long lineups, which occur almost everyday. Still though, it's one of my top favorite burger joint.
Hi, I am a lefty and desperately looking for...you guessed it, a knife for lefties! I absolutely love to cook but I am having the hardest time cutting/slicing food properly. If someone could tell me where I could find a knife for lefties or even a 2 sided blade knife.
