Best Seafood North End

Greatly appreciate all the advice! I ended up booking a reservation at Mamma Maria's, not exactly seafood-centric but some good menu options for sure. Will check out the other revs just in case though. It is a "business" dinner of sorts, but more social nature. The reason I'm looking North End is we plan a trip to the cigar room after :)

Best Seafood North End

Hi all, I'm taking out a client from CA for dinner on Sunday night in the North End and he's looking for "great Boston seafood." Where would you go for the best seafood there? Thanks!

Best Combination of Bar with TV and Good Food

Hi all, I'm going to be in Chicago next week and would like to find a place where I can watch the Bruins game at a bar and enjoy top-notch food at the same time. Generally a big fan of Gibson's and Shaw's, but am interested in trying something new. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Pittsburgh French/Steakhouse Recommendation

Hi all,
Headed down to Pittsburgh next week and I'm hoping for some good recommendations for a good French restaurant or steakhouse in the downtown area. Budget isn't really a consideration, just a tasty meal. Thanks!

Good Eats and MNF Near Intercontinental Nob Hill

Thanks everyone!

Good Eats and MNF Near Intercontinental Nob Hill

Hi all, I'm headed out to SF tomorrow morning for a business trip and am really not too familiar with the local dining scene. I'm staying at the Intercontinental Nob Hill (1 California St.) and could use some dinner advice. I love trying out local "celebrity" chefs when I get a chance but ideally would like a place with a bar and a TV that I could hunker down at to watch Monday Night Football while still enjoying great food. Budget is around $75 all-inclusive.

Thanks much for any advice!

Great Seafood And The Game?

We spend all day together so it's sometimes nice to have the TV distraction over dinner!

Great Seafood And The Game?

Football isn't a terribly big priority, more of a hope, I'd say. It's a constant struggle to find a place that combines top-notch food with low-key atmosphere!

Great Seafood And The Game?

Hi all,
I'm here in Chicago on business with my boss who likes to eat well but doesn't like stuffy atmospheres. Can anyone recommend a good place for seafood on Michigan (near The Peninsula/Westin) where we might be able to sit at a bar and watch football? Thanks! Budget around $75/pp.

One Night In ATL - Work Dinner Suggestion

Hi everyone! I'm going to Atlanta for my first time for work and am looking for a suggestion for a fantastic dinner. Upper end of the price range is ok. The problem will be balancing my tastes with my bosses. I like the new, hot restaurants, the big chef names, etc. My boss is pretty old-fashioned and doesn't care about that stuff, he just wants a good meal in a not-too-stuff environment. If anyone's familiar with New York, Il Tinello is his favorite restaurant. Is there anything like "upscale BBQ?" I realize this is kind of a schizo description, but if anyone has any thoughts I'd love to hear them!

Work Dinner Near Times Square

Il Tinello is as old school as it gets. Everything is brought out on a cart, what seems like hundreds of Italians swarming around the table taking care of things. Excellent food and service, just a little on the old fashioned end of the spectrum for me. I took my boss to Craft in LA and I think he hated it. Different strokes I suppose. We may end up at The National, which is close to our hotel, if Wolfgang's gets vetoed. Very much appreciate all the advice!

Work Dinner Near Times Square

Very much appreciate the advice RGR! Adour looks amazing, as does Ai Fiori. Unfortunately I think they might be too gourmand for his tastes. If it was up to me, I'd pick either in a heartbeat.

Work Dinner Near Times Square

This is the one on 41st that I got a reservation at, more as a place holder than anything else. Sadly no availability for Keen's tonight, but it looks like the right ambiance and feel!

Work Dinner Near Times Square

Hi all, I'm looking for a spot for dinner tonight for a work dinner near Times Square. My boss prefers traditional spots like Il Tinello, for example. Thinking a steakhouse would be good. The main consideration would be that it be quiet enough to have a detailed conversation. Any thoughts on Wolfgangs? Appreciate any suggestions!

Post Maze Dessert?

My wife loves the chocolate/coffee flavor combination and her favorite liquor is amaretto. I think she's going to be in heaven.

Dinner with my foodie wife

Thanks for the suggestion Ellen and Prince! Both look great. I'm thinking that we may try Degustation, looks like a great value for a tasting menu. Does anyone have any experience there? My only concern is my wife doesn't eat pork...

Thank you so much for the thoughtful reply! I guess I was shooting for $150 total, but I'm pretty sure that's not such a realistic expectation. Scarpetta looks like it might be a winner so far

Dinner with my foodie wife

Dear knowledgeable New York foodies,
My wife and I will be traveling to NYC in November for the Chocolate Show and I am looking for advice on where to take her for dinner. We'll be staying at the Waldorf (thanks to rewards points) so somewhere in that general vicinity would be great. We are both big Top Chef, cooking competition show, etc. fans so I'd love to take her someplace with a chef she'll have heard of to make it a special night. Thinking somewhere around $150 for the two of us, if possible. Thanks so much for the advice!

Good Place to Take My Boss For Dinner

Thank you and everyone else for the suggestions!

Good Place to Take My Boss For Dinner

Hi everyone,
I'll be in DC for business this week and am hoping for a recommendation for a good place to go to dinner with my boss. He likes good food that is not too frou-frou and likes a place where we can watch a game on some sort of bar TV. I like foodie destinations with chefs worth checking out. I know that's a little amorphous, but hopefully someone has some good suggestions!

Thanks,
Michael

Best Healthy Food Chefs?

Hi all,
A running charity I work with is considering putting together a cookoff pitting two Boston area chefs against each other in a healthy(ish) food competition. Does anyone have any suggestions on who might be good options to consider, both in terms of good food and name-recognition to draw people in? Thank you!
