Calling all Phx chowhounds! I will be in The Phx area for this week and I am looking for some great foodie paradises. I am a Mpls CH looking for the best the southwest have to offer. I will be based in Mesa but any restaurant that you feel I need to try I will drive. Budget is not issue, but I always love a awesome cheap meal that delivers. All ethnicities qualify, I would love to try a great little mexican taqueria and see how they stack up Down here. Thanks for your help in advance! |

Brasa Rotisserie Rest/ East Hennepin Ave/ Minneapolis Way better than decent. This place is a star in the Minneapolis dining scene. |

In Minneapolis next month, need 2 dinner spots, one breakfast, and one lunch... It is coal. |

Sounds like a fun trip! I think Benu would be an awesome choice for Sat Dinner. I also think Bar Agricole is exactly what you would be looking for Sunday. Great cocktails in a awesome space with excellent food, and if it's nice out they have a patio. Have fun! ----- Benu |

Victory 44 Recent Hits/Misses? Went last night for the first time. Had the bone marrow, devils on horseback, then the gf had the burger and I had the bahn mi. Everything was awesome! The bone marrow was amazing and such a deal for $10. What a great take on bahn mi too. Everything was wonderful. Everything was so well thought out and the balance of each dish was incredible. I would recommend this place to anyone. |

Quality Takeout near intersection of 394/100 Try the Tea house in Golden Valley. Real good authentic szcheuan, especially if you order off the Chinese menu. I highly recommend it. I have been there 3 times and everytime has been great. |

Sherlock's Home, Minnetonka Minnesota CLOSED?? Surely please God no!!~~ All crab is pre-cooked through just so you know, they are essentially warming it up. |

Great Water's brew pub has some of the worst food I have ever had. If you go there do not order coleslaw as a side, I cannot believe it left the kitchen. Absolutely terrible. Pretty hard to mess up coleslaw and everything else there was very sub-par. |

Two foodies, one 14 year old, coming to town this Friday for a week - Restaurant Ideas??? I would give Bar Agricole a shot for sure. Great farm-to-table ingredients being prepared in very inventive ways. The space is undeniable as it won a Beard this year for best new design, and the cocktails are just another reason to try it out. Also, if it is nice out they have a great outdoor patio. ----- |

Went to Black Sheep the other ngiht after a Twins Game. Wow, that place is making some great pies. We had 2 Pizza's, the sauage one and the meatball one and both were outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone! |

sf for 2.5 days- both foodies - lunch/dinner suggestions - ??? help !! I would give Bar Agricole a try for lunch or dinner. It's Modern American farm to table that is so good. The drinks are outstanding and the space is definitely something to be seen. Get reservations though for dinner. ----- |

Sage is awesome. I ate there on Monday night and my GF and I had the 4 course pre-fixe with an amuse to start and a little shot of hot chocolate to finish our desert the meal and the service were wonderful. |

I would go to 1000 different restaurants before I ever stepped foot in Hibachi buffet. Why there? Especially when Minnesota has so many better options. |

Lunch mini-reviews: BLT Burger; Beijing Noodle No 9; China Poblano; Spago; Burger Bar; P.U.B. Thanks for the info. |

This place is mediocre at best. I tried 6 different tacos with a group of people and the only one that was actually a good taco was the brisket. The fish was terrible and all the others were just ok at best. I agree with the poster above doubling up tortillas is a must, way to soaked. The one that wasn't was the roast pork and that one was way to dry. There are so many better options for mexican, maybe not right in that area but a short drive away. |

So the lady and I went to Los Ocampos in St. Paul on Friday night because of the many rave reviews by other hounds. It was amazing. The best Mexican food I have had here in Minnesota or anywhere else other than Mexico. It was a great experience almost like going to Mexico, english is not the first language but you can get by easy enough. I myself speak a some spanish and love to use it so it was a fun experience. The food was so good, fresh salsa's, well seasoned meats and great toppings. Mi Lady had the enchiladas with the verde sauce, let me tell you this was one of the best enchilada sauces ever and it was a ton of food for sub $10. She got 4 or 5 enchiladas on a plate with a whole nother plate of mexican rice and beans. Would recommend this dish highly. I had the taco combo plate, which consists of 3 tacos you choose the meat and mexican rice and beans(alot of food) for under $9. I had 3 different meats, al pastor, carnitas, and chorizo. All were delicious and fresh. The chorizo my favorite great spicy flavor. If you go make sure you get the avacado sauce for tacos or whatever you want to put it on. It's not guacamole but more liquidy, Salsa de Avocado is what you would want to order, so good! Overall everything was so good and such a great deal. I would recommend this place to anyone. Any one have any other great mexican places they think stand up to Los Ocampos? I would love to try them out. ----- |

Good places to eat in Minneapolis and St. Paul? I would suggest eating no meals at MOA. You will miss many of the great places Minneapolis-St. Paul has to offer. I think Brasa would be right up your alley. If you do go order family style, it is such a great deal. ----- |

Staying in Bloomington, any restaurants worth visiting? I don't belive there would be any issue with having a baby. You may want to check though. |
