I would have to agree with you bagelman01, Carms is an OK place, over rated pizza, and very pricey. I'm not sure who rated this as one of the best pizza places, apparently, that person doesn't know pizza.

You're right. I over commented by saying great - just a habit. However, it was a descent place, and, if I'm in the area area, I would consider it.

Well, I had lunch today, and, I thought the place was great. The owner personally came to our table many times, to make sure we where happy with the service and food. We ordered several pies, and. the topping were generously loaded. I plan to go back, we all very much enjoyed the place.

The only place to go in Monroe, CT
My experience at Julian's was terrible. The mushroom pizza was burt on the crust area, and soup in the middle. I'll never return. I have been to all good ones from Pepe's, Sally's Bar, Modern, Carminuccio's, Roselands,, etc., and I wouldn't recommend Julian's to anyone.
I tried this place three times - all terrible.
Stamford, CT - Restaurants
I am meeting some old friends from NY, and we decided to meet half way in Stamford.
Were not look for a place that is too expensive so that we can have a glass or two of wine or a few beers with dinner. We are also open to various food types such as Pizza. Chinese, Japanese, Hamburgers, Mexican, seafood.....whatever.
I use to live in Stamford many years ago, and I know there are a bunch of restaurants in the area.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. mmalad, I agree with you, I tried the pizza, and they are up there with the top 3. I still like Modern best, and Ernie's is a nice sleeper place in New Haven.

Boston Visit - Need Restaurant Recommendation
I will be traveling to Boston in a few weeks with the family to take my college son out for a nice dinner. I am looking for a good place, nothing to expensive, open to traditional American, Mexican, Italian food. Will be in the Fenway Park area, and will travel to the North End, or, downtown.
