French roast coffee in NYC

I've been to Porto Rico. But was so overwhelmed by the choices, I left without purchasing anything. I'll give it another try. Thanks!

Best burger on Smith or Court Streets?

I concur on Bar Tabac. It's terrific. And you get fries and a salad with it. Perfect combination.

Best restaurant open on Sunday?

I would consider Seasonal on West 58th Street near 7th Ave. It may not be at the level of Per Se, but I had one of the best meals ever at that restaurant last year.

Complicated dinner for 9 on a Friday night

Orsay on Lex and 75th could handle your large group. It's a French brasserie. And I find it to be far better than Balthazar - which constantly disappoints me.

Dinner on Upper East Side

Sfoglia on Lex near 91st is delicious. Not as fancy as Daniel. But the food is really marvelous.

If you're willing to walk a bit, Candle Cafe is terrific. They're on Third Ave near 74th Street.

French roast coffee in NYC

I just returned from a week in Pairs where I really enjoyed drinking the coffee. I'd like to duplicate the experience back home and am wondering where to get the best French roast coffee, either in a specialty food shop (i.e. Zabars, Dean & Deluca, etc) or from a local coffee "boutique" (i.e. Blue Bottle). Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks!

Fave bistros or brasseries in St Germain neighborhood?

We are a group of 4 NYers in Paris for the week and looking for good, affordable bistros or brasseries in the St. Germain area. If anyone has any suggestions, please respond. Thanks!
