Invented by George and Marie Myrick in 1972, the original owners of the Soggy Dollar Bar in Jost van Dyke, BVI. Their clever answer to a pina colada with no electricity, and named for the tree growing near the bar, aka Noni. Properly served in a plastic cup, and often made with Cruzan gold rum, which is much more commonly used in the area.
