There have been so many: small fish restaurant in Monterosso, Cinque Terra, Mussels on Elba, Amazing Pizza in Terrenia, Frog Legs in Lauterbourg, lobster in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, the list is too long...
Travel to Syria and Palestine for some amazing food.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
baba ganoosh, hummus, osso bucco, hawaiian ribs, swiss fondue, biryani, fennel au gratin with parmesan.
My favorite comfort food:
German/Frankisch Potato Soup w/bacon, hot wings, beer battered onion rings, Spaetzle, Fondue, Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Gosh, real Italian Pizza Margarita baked in a wood burning pizza oven, white asparagus (spargel) with hollandaise.

La Cuisine Moderne - printed in Paris in the early 1900s inherited from my grandparents (Joseph Monnot -WW1 French Veteran, who owned a restaurant in Dijon, France from 1920s through 1960s. Also recipes from Jacques Pepin and from Saveur Magazine.
