less expensive alternative to blue hill at stone barns?

I think we are going to go stick for a dinner in Manhattan since the weather looks so bad for this weekend. We are going to La Palma and I can update you on that meal if anyone is interested (organic italian food in a very homey atmosphere in Greenwich Village).
We were also considering Farm on Adderley in BK, but I think that's too far. It looks great though! Thanks for all the replies :)

less expensive alternative to blue hill at stone barns?

Hi everyone!
I would like to take my roommate who is very into organic/ farm to table dining to a special birthday meal soon! Blue Hill at stone barns looks perfect except $100/ person is too pricey for us (we are in medical school). Does anyone have any suggestions for New York area farms with wonderful food? We go to Mount Sinai so will be coming from Manhattan, we have access to a car or metronorth and would love to pair it with hiking or farmer's markets beforehand! We are total foodies and are open to any suggestions! Thanks!

nashville restaurants on a budget

Hi everyone!
I'm visiting my brother, a student at Vandy, for the next 24 hours. I wanted to go out to a nice and fun dinner with him somewhere in the Nashville area tonight. We are both students (I'm in medical school) so we are on a budget of less than $35/ person. For instance I looked at Margot and Watermark and the entrees are a bit pricey for us, although they both looked delicious! We are both from New York City and love food, so we are not afraid of something new and different! Let me know what you think, I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!
