Rod's BBQ in Wharton; Very Mixed Results I had a very similar experience with my entree at Hot Rod's. The brisket was inedible and the ribs were very dry and tough. I will not return to Hot Rod's because the food was inferior and the prices were high. |

Best Italian bakery for pignoli cookies in Bergen/Passaic/Essex/Hudson area? Amore DiNapoli in Nutley next to Queen Margarita. They also have individual Tiramisu etc. Very good Italian bakery. |

Burger King Burger - Kind of Gross I tried the Chipotle Chicken, was given a burger instead and tried to eat it. I had the same reaction as the OP. I just threw the thing away after one bite. I did email BK and got back a standard form letter about quality Blah Blah Blah. When I tried to reply, the email was returned. Never again. |

I don't get why pastrami with mayo is disgusting but with Russian dressing is ok????? |

Petak's Kosher Deli in Fair Lawn - New Ownership? I was there today for a pastrami sandwich. The prices went up by about 30% and it was terrible. Less meat than before and very tough. |

Petite Soo Chow in Cliffside Park has them. |

Petak's Kosher Deli in Fair Lawn - New Ownership? The Nosher Rye deli in Allendale has very good pastrami and corned beef. There sandwich with extra meat $1 is still only 10 dollars. They claim to corn their own beef and I would agree with that claim. The rye bread they use is also very good. |

Totally agree with you about Texas Smoke. They should rename it Texas Nope. |

Just received the Greenberg turkey. It is really something. Thanks for the suggestion. |

New Jersey Monthly Annual Readers and Critics Choice poll continues to be unreliable I have to agree with your comments on Texas Smoke. The brisket must be baked or something similar. Definitely not smoked. They should rename it Texas Nope. Big Ed's is just terrible as well. |

Does anyone know where to purchase a smoked turkey in North Jersey? |

I go twice a month either for dim sum or dinner. The dishes I have are the same for over 14 years. For takeout maybe TS MA is better? I have only been there once and it was good. |

China Garden on Main Ave in Clifton is a step up from the take-out places, although the prices are a bit higher, I believe the quality is better. |

La Sicilia, Belleville-- SOLD! I was only there for lunch. Nothing for lunch has changed. I have been going there for years and know the menu quite well. At least some of the guys who own it now were partial partners with Mr Ali, the previous owner. I recognized the waitress and kitchen staff from previous visits. PS I had the veal parm with linguini for 8 bucks. It was as good as ever and the best bang for the buck for this type of dish I have ever had anywhere. That is why I keep going back. |

La Sicilia, Belleville-- SOLD! Just went for lunch today. The menu was the same, as were the prices and the food. If I had not seen the OP i would not know the place had changed hands. BTW the Palermo pie is still on the menu. |

Yes and they do. They also had fresh lemons which is nice. |

A new 25 Burgers has opened on Fairfield Road in Fairfield. The burger i had (No 3) was really good and the substitutions I made were spot on. They have a fair amount of seating and parking.. |

Yes I have been to Kirker's. I would recommend Helmer's in Hoboken. I have been there with several colleagues from Germany and they found it to have very good food and beer selection. |
|
|
Kirker's menu is all over the place. In my experience that does not bode well for good German food. |

NEW BBQ in Montclair - Indigo Kitchen I found the Woodpit to be mediocre and quite expensive. I remember Indigo smoke from several years back and the food was always very good and prices were fair. I never really had the service issues other people mention. |

Looking for good sandwich place in bergen county +1 Cosmos is a great sandwich shop. |

Eats You Want in Passaic (1980s) I think the clothing store you are referring to was called Shareeds, the restaurants I don't remember. |

Brand new and absolutely terrific in Rutherford - Grill Poblano Had lunch there. Ordered the carnitas quesadilla. Was pretty thin with barely any meat, for 7.25 this is a very expensive item. Tasted just ok. I would not return. |

Homemade corned beef hash in NJ The Tick Tock Diner makes their CBH by opening a can. Went there recently and my brother's omelet was dry as a bone. This has to be one of the most overrated diners in NJ. I second the vote for Original Pancake House, their CBH is very good. ----- |

L&B Spumoni Gardens type pizza in NJ? Brunos In Clifton has the L & B type of square pie (cheese under the sauce). |

Looking For a Hopping Place In the Clifton Area With Great Food NJfoodLover I agree the food at the Totowa location of Sushi Lounge is hit or miss and the watered down menu (asian inspired vs japanese) leaves a lot to be desired. |
