Best Lunch Options in Savannah

Follow the lines (that can extend down the block) to Mrs. Wilkes. It's a unique Savannah experience that should not be missed. Try to get there early...worth the wait. Great range of Southern dishes. Just plan on a nap afterwards.

Grand Cayman - Eating/drinking top tips

Must say that Reef Grill, once one of my family's favorites, has suffered greatly since their re-model.

Neither Ragazzi nor Casanova has ever impressed, and Pappagallo certainly boasts an impressive price tag...

If you're on or near Seven Mile Beach, Calypso Grill will be a hike, as it's well off the beaten path, but well worth it. The setting and food are great (and the Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding for dessert brings us back year after year).

Gateway of India is a terrific value, and shares a building with Copper Falls, an excellent steakhouse if you're so inclined.

Eats is a really solid breakfast/lunch spot.

Sunshine Grill is great for burgers and fish tacos and (REALLY) busy around lunchtime, so go early or late.

Luca is more towards the fine dining end, and consistently good.

Barcelona Long Weekend

Only familiar with Tapac 24 -- thought it was terrific. Inventive, atypical tapas (must try the McFoie & Bikini sandwiches). Not long on atmosphere, but great service and food more than make up for the setting.

Sage or L'Atelier de Joel Robouchon?

Can only speak for the menu at Sage -- it was great. Shawn McClain does an excellent job overall, but any and all fish courses we had from the tasting menu (the hamachi was a true standout) were remarkable.

Day time cocktails near union square?

Was in NYC for a weekend and wandered into Rye House. Found it to be casual, welcoming, and armed with an immensely knowledgeable bartender. Liked it so much Thursday afternoon we went back Friday for the bartender's variations on the Sazerac (one involving cognac), and brought more friends on Saturday. An easy place to spend a few hours.
